Dont argue with ignorant people. I'm a tigers fan who can admit that the piece of footage their was a little luck and a whole heap of brilliance. There are a few factors to take into consideration...the scoreline, the time remaining and the enormity of the game! To execute such a play with a few minutes remaining to give your side victory takes confidence and so much skill. Don't discount the bounce in the try but also don't discount how good of a footballer Hayne is.
you have to put the ball in the right place for it to have a chance to have a "lucky" bounce so i dont know why you are discounting this extreme piece of skill as being entirely down to luck...jealousy perhaps?
I get it. When you look at it in slow motion you can see Hayne calculate the rotation speed the ball so when it hit the ground he knew the exact angle, direction and height the football would bounce. And here I was thinking the bounce of a Rugby League ball was unpredictable. He truly is the greatest player of all time having performed that absolute miracle.
i never said that, i said you have to put the ball in the right place for it to even have a chance to bounce your way. the ball could've bounced either way but the fact that he perfectly placed the chip meant he was always going to be a chance if the ball did bounce his way,a skill in itself. there was luck involved, but also skill saying it was a lucky bounce and nothing else is ignorant.
hes a good ball runner. but it was lucky. no body intends for a bounce like that, so you cant say that was extreme skill. it came off his foot wrong and he got the benefit of the bounce. no skill in the kick, which is what caused the try. even though hes a skilful player
Actually i have almost perfected the chip kick and about 85% of the time I get that 'Beautiful Bounce'. So what im saying is that it takes practice and therefore skill to execute this kick no luck involved...(ok maybe a little)
Lucky bounce. Nothin else. Marshall outplayed hayne the whole game. If it had bounced the other direction and the tigers full back runs it back and they score and parra loses hayne is total joke.
try would've been avoided if the fullback wouldn't have been such a girl

i think the placement of the kick was skillful and the direction of the bounce was lucky.

people do intend for those bounces u just need to get backspin on it which is what he did but there's still luck needed for it to work
