Hello my walkman has a major problem ans i need help Its a NWZ-E426F. I was charging it and when i looked down and unplugged it, all it said was hold on, the battery icon completely empty, and no matter what i do, nothing will make it work normally, it wont turn off, cant access the menu, nothing, even the little reset button near the bottom didnt do anything, i replugged and unplugged it again and still nothing. Please someone respond ASAP so i know what to do.

This thing is AWESOME. I highly recommend anyone who likes good quailty music/videos all in an mp3. The only thing about this that i HATE is that when you don't recharge when it says, " Low Battery - Please Charge" and you don't recharge it, the bottom part of the screen turns completely black and retarted. Lasts a long time though - 2 1/2 years for me :D .

-midbass at (200-400hz) sounds weakly (hear th elack with male voices)

-really Warning: coating over headphone wires starts cracking easily and fast.

-no recording from radio! :(

i used xp and vista as well and it worked, but i don't use the software to transfer the files, just connect it through the usb and it works

Aww, that's my media player, I have a pink one. Visually appealing. It sounds great, but putting videos on it is too complex. Sony dropped the ball on that I'm so disappointed. I've spent days trying to find converters and such to watch a few music videos. Shame. Sony needs it's own site to download videos, though you can use iTunes Plus music and videos on this player, but not the stuff with the drm. I love the earphones. I have small ears and these are the only kind that have worked for me.

I recently bought the NWZ-A729 (16GB) and was very disappointed in the video quality as compared to my other Sony players (NWZ-E438F and NWZ-S616). Sharpness and clarity are still great but contrast, color saturation, flesh tones, etc. are just not at the same high level as the other two...sound quality is extremely good in all three.

How about NWZ A818? i think it's in high quality ,either. however. video is inevitable. if you're into the video you'd better try on yp-p3. it supports xvid/H.264/wmv/mpeg4. Just try it's not gonna disappointed u.

My BIG concern with all these new Sony players is the fact the battery is integral, and batteries have a limited life, even the best quality ones. So when the battery dies your expensive players becomes waste bin fodder.

I wouldn't recommend getting this if you have a Mac, but don't take my word for it. The screen doesn't scratch easily but it does smudge if you rub your fingers on it, so buy a case. Unfortunitely the rubber case doesn't come with a screen protector.

I have this player and use it with my mac. It works perfectly as you just drag and drop the files. No need to use a program for file transfers

Being that the inexpensive ones sounds excellent, it makes me wonder, how much better the $300 MDR-EX700LP sound.

also a problem missed by reviewers is the 82x/72x have blown out brightness video playback. there are no blacks, and letter box is grey. it is not the lcd, all other menus and even the seek bar are much darker black. This makes the video look poor. the demo video is full screen tv video so its less noticable and just looks faded bright. i hope they can fix this with a firmware patch or something. its a major flaw which is sad since the sound quality is so high.

yea but its general build quality is better, and battery life is insane. the headphones are also superior. in such a small capacity player and without using itunes like software ratings aren't so useful.

erasing on the go doesn't bother me but having no bookmarking feature does.

yea its a pain. it will remember where you are in the song you are currently listening to if you switch to a video. but you will lose that bookmark the moment you listen to anything else or add to the library. it is also missing a podcast/audio book folder so "shuffle" becomes unusable if you have such content on your player.
