I am now 3 1/2 years post op. I have lost 182lb in total and down from 374lb - 196lb. I am waiting to save money for loose skin removal and once I have got all of this removed then I will update my video's. It has not been an easy journey and the hardest thing now is keeping the weight off. I am starting to gain weight again now but don't really know why. I haven't changed my diet but have stopped exercising as much and think this maybe the key. I am due to start the gym Monday.

I started eating soft foods around 4 weeks after surgery and by 2 months I was eating more or less normal foods. At the beginning lots of foods got stuck. Now rice, bread and pasta still get stuck on occasions but the key is to eat slowly.

Just what I needed to top my motivation for loosing weight :) I am still in the period where I have to loose weight before surgery. I haven't been eating candy and so on since 20 of May. And I am exercising. Still needing a bit to get the surgery.. I hope I will get it in October :)

I am not implying diet and exercise are the easy way at all but surgery isn't the easy way either. One in 50 people die having this operation. I made a will and was scared to death I died having it. Since my surgery 2 years ago I have lost 182lb to date.  I have to watch my weight as you can still eat sugary foods, I have to diet regularly. surgery shrunk my stomach so I don't each as much thats all. surgery is hard,its not easy. I love your story. For me, I wasn't always heavy my whole life. Not until I was 25. It was like I woke up one day and was like "What happened?" Then I tried every kind of diet, I've worked out extensively for 6 months, seen zero results, then gave up. I am sorry but you obviously have no knowledge of the surgery. There are more scarafices than any other "normal" person would have to make to loose weight. You need to do some more reading up. This does not happen with surgery alone. It requires a VERY strict diet and exercise routine for the rest of your life.

I was shocked to find the scale read 175 lbs. I gasped when it went up to 200 lbs. I swung back and forth between 275-295 lbs. I stepped off the scale at 309 lbs in total silence. hiya im having gastric bypass on 22nd july 08 im really scared having this done ,but the results for i cannot wait for . watching youre video is so moving and emotional i was crying im really plesed for u and carry on the good work ,ill be there one day and i cant wait. my daughter sophie watched the video with me and she was so amazed how much weight you lose having surgery

Wow... You were beautiful before surgery and now you look stunning. I am going to have surgery myself... and I am scared... But I am looking forward to the end results. One question I have is... how did fast did you go through clothes? I currenly weigh about 320 and my goal weight is 175 or lower (I am crossing my fingers...LOL) Thank you for being an inspiration to many. -brandi
