  • i listen better when the voice is foreign

  • And that's how dupstep is made children

  • lol, bitchin enveloping 1:13 (couldn't resist not putting that)

  • Mahn by making this video let me tell you youve got your fist full of coments to reply to

  • so can i do this with ableton live light that came with my mpk49?

  • I dont have operator!! Why? :((

  • when i double click operator it gives me all the options of which ones to choose, which did you choose?

  • Im getting the same sound but theres no bass drop. its just the straight sound. The hell am i doing wrong?

  • @OfficialFilthyCO is ur pitch envelope box on? or it could be that the pitch percent is at 0.idk . try those out . im sorry i cant be more helpful. but i usually 4get to move it up or down when i start a drop.

  • @EmcFRAKTAL I got it man. It was because i was entering 2.96 into the decay instead of moving it manually. Thank you for responding though.

  • Very useful, thank you

  • Great thanks the video help Me to understand soundsynthesis a bit more.

To all others trial and error is the best way to understand soundsynthesis cause you learn from a lot

  • i dont have operator on my ableton where could i download it for free?

  • when i turn on my rate it comes in like 32,12 instead of 1/8. can somebody help me? :D

  • the sound just keeps going up and down instead of deflating

  • Awesome tutorial man thanks one thing you forgot was change the lfo rate to sync. Its usually set to Low or high it's that lil box next to sine box in the LFO filter. I'm sure you know this already so no offense at all this vid taught me a lot cheers :)..

  • Thanks for the video, helped a lot

  • it keeps sounding like im starting on this really silly high pitched note. like how you spin out in mario kart hahaha.

  • i dont have operator for some reason, how do i get it?

  • @KCPmedias its there if ur using suite,if not then you may not have it.

  • @EmcFRAKTAL suite ftw. my bank account cant say the same.......

  • @EmcFRAKTAL Why is this titled "....in Ableton Live 8" then???

  • @DeLusion40 Ableton Live 8 and Suite are exactly the same, Suite just has extra audio.

  • what key are you using?

  • @SavageLUEY key?? i use my keypad .

  • @EmcFRAKTAL i think he means musically, what key do you play in, like A, C?

  • @superZEUSTER ah derrrp sorry imma spaz.. well i dont have a specific key i try to stick to. i just play what i like then let mixed in key figure it out lol.

  • thanks very helpful and easy :D

  • great vid bro. love it thanks

  • hey man thanks for that. its been rattling my brain how to get these sounds, you make it so easy, cheers!

  • After the drop, you have some filthy dubstep, can you please make a tutorial on how to make that filthy wobble?

Thanks for the help with the drop! :)

  • yo this says for live 8 but my live 8 didn't come with an operator... how do i get one?

  • @pippin1ish you have to buy it seperately sorry. i bought the suite so thats why i /how i have it.

  • @EmcFRAKTAL how much is that?

  • @EmcFRAKTAL I'd reccomend getting Massive instead of operator

  • @greasykanadian operator is better in my opinion.. massive = Fail. just imo tho..

  • @EmcFRAKTAL operator is good, just not for heavy dubstep drops, you can't make an excison/datsik style drop with operator that sounds near as good

  • @greasykanadian not true,it just depends how educated you are with synthesis is all. massive is a preference not and ends to a mean. besides those synth sounds are based in FM synthesis like operator, you just have to know how to use it is all. anyways idc use what ya like kiddies, its a preference not a fact tho just remember that. :-)

  • @EmcFRAKTAL Well I've had lessons from Datsik and BARE and they both say Massive is an easier tool to create massive dubstep wobbles and aggressive sounding bass, but that being said I'm a beginner so their advice was probably just to help me save time

  • @greasykanadian its just a preference on their part, operator/fm synthesis is for aggro bass, operator is the best sine sub i know around.so like i said you will find what works for you . i have a long history in sound desdigning so i can use anything but most guys cant ,but its pointless to tell everyone to use a sherman filterbank or else they wont get good music or basses is asinine just cuz it works for me u kno.i hope you find the sounds and science ur looking for my friend.

  • Thank you so much, I have producing dubstep for about 3 months now on Ableton and could never figure out how to get that slow wobble sound like a machine is slowing down! Now, thanks to you I have it!!!

  • When I double click operator that doesn't happen, it just opens up another list and an option to go back... What am I ddoing wrong. Please help!

  • Is the operator instrument available in the free trial versoin? because i really cannot find it and ive downloaded it seperatley and it says i already have it

  • @DrPrymeTyme Same problem bro.

  • wow fastidious? now there's a word of the day for ya!!

  • yo, when are you going to do the simpler version of this vid?

Specifically I wan to know how to do the deflating wobble; that shit is dope

If you're not making he vid for a while could you msg me?

I want to know quick haha

    thanks a lot bro :D

  • @TravJacobs ah so sorry i just plain forgot to make this video . i will add it o the roster. thnx again.peace

  • @mc1093alpha hello,i apologise i did not understand the question.what they are is the ability to route the lfos an filters to specific locations in the synth,if they are not routed yu may not get the desired effect ur looking for.im sorry if my video wasn't clear enough.im happy to answer any questions yu may have tho, stay well

  • Do you HAVE to have a keybored to use this programe?

  • @thatshillarious no you do not,you can just use ur typing keys for live

  • @thatshillarious no you don't. its good to use a synth tho. its a lot easier.

  • whats an operator

  • @nico0032100 a native synth in ableton

  • this was soo helpful been lookin for a video like this for time !

  • why is it when i hit the keys its very high pitched. how do i change this?

  • @MrGame456 its because ur in the higher octaves is all. if ur using ur typiing keyboard then just hit the Z for down octave or X for up octave. if ur on a controller then just adjust ur transpose..if all these r fine but its still too high then its the transpose in the rack (sorry if it was my fault) but thats why .hope that helped

  • Oh cool, they have tons of skins. Thanks, EmcFRAKTAL. :D

  • make a tutorial for the bass :p

  • @Kardinalloffi you mean just how to make bass with operator?

  • @EmcFRAKTAL the actual sound at the start ,

  • @Kardinalloffi o ok, well i will dig out the old hdd and see if i still have it if so i will do that, thnx 4 ur comment, bless!!

  • @EmcFRAKTAL i dont use ableton, but i use reason and fruityloops, so when u release that bass, ill get me myself ableton, cheers, i subbed

  • I like the skin of your set up. What's it called? I use Nautic.

  • @ThePWNZOR5 puff power from sonic transfer.com

  • @EmcFRAKTAL Every time i click "Download This Skin" it just takes me to a page with a bunch of jibberish typed out on it. did you have this problem, or can you tell me how to download it. thanks.

  • Okay now that we got the drop...how do we combine the drop with the essential wobbly bass after? Your's sounds so clean! Mine never go together well! But great tut man:)

  • Damn! You are a bad ass Fraktal!!! Sheeeeiiiit DOG!

  • how do i switch the rate from a number to the 1/8...sry im a nub

  • @pianofool nvm i found it

  • @pianofool kool.

  • @pianofool Hit sync

  • @pianofool Left Click the L next to it, and change to Sync :)

  • @pianofool

    rate

  • @pianofool

right in the LFO section are 3 squares next to the orange turnon button. set the one in the middle to "sync". there you go! excuse my english i'm from germany haha hope it helped and no worries when i saw this tut the first time i also had to figure it out :D

  • @pianofool I had the same problem. You need to press the little button next to the LFO and Sine (on the left hand bottom), where it says L and change it to Sync (S) :D

  • Dude, gr8 tutorial!! Thanks.

  • @bertthepickle glad 2 help

  • is there a way to make a bass drop without operator?

  • @WordGeniuzTube yes , as long as ur synth has a pitch envelope section the process is the same, the sounds of the bass vary from synth to synth but YES it is possible. like in analog is one . i believe all the synths in live are capable of this .as i have done a drop in Analog and sampler .. i hope that was helpful..feel free to ask anything i will do my best to answer ya as quickly as i can. Bless!

  • Dude your are probably the only one that brings free quality tutorials on how to create bass sounds! Thank you.

  • @Halaryoos glad 2 help. cheers!

  • your gated audio track of you talking is driving my ears absolutely crazy

  • @GhostmanOnThird So Sorry ,Bless-Up

  • Thanks mate, young one playing with ableton, your videos help a lot! :D

  • @kaspericas great glad 2 help,bless!!

  • good video ! At start i got same sound but when i put my LFO and and my filter the sound i can have is different : i don't have the same bass sound :( idea ?

  • @cochonouch sorry so long in rsponding..it maybe just a lil oversight, can u send me ur als? i will give it a look or listen.stay well

    -will-

  • @cochonouch I am soo sorry i didnt respond sooner, BUT!! i know what happened.i have my ableton defaulted differently so thats what happened..all u have to do is turn off the osc Dest. blocks in the filter section to get the bass drop...to wobble the drop turn the lfo Dest. on and there u go i have my LFO filter section altered by default for ease of use. but yes thats all m8, i hope this is a help. cheers!!
