  • Powerchokes Suck

  • How did you not fuck something up

  • Gas in a Diesel truck works, but diesel in a gas truck is the worst

  • Glo plugs

  • how does it run without a spark gasoline needs spark to ignite

  • Fords are cheaper.....that's why there are more on the road and face it they're like an old whore of course she's been around because the skank has been around forever

  • all these ford haters leaving comments... well since there are clearly more fords on the road bought and sold and the number of ford owners blows away all other trucks there are bound to be a couple of idiots out there... its a numbers game. all the real idiots are people who dont buy fords and the ones who can't appreciate its because its a ford its even still running!

  • Good thing its only a ford

  • I THINK ITS RUNNING A BIT LEAN HAHAHAHAH YOU MAD BROOOO

  • you have to put real thin oil in the tank or else that things fucked

  • Fucking idiot.

  • Not a ford fan but holy moses it sounds like slow death to that engine!

  • hope u now u not only need injectors and fuel pumps but now that u are reving it up like a jack ass u will probaly need to rebuild the intire engine,i wouldnt be suprized if u end up punching holes in your piston or melting a ring or 5........DUMB ASS

  • yeah punch it! lets do some more damage!

  • sounds like a normal Powerstroke to me, garbage lol

  • just so happens it was a ford owner who put gas in a diesel truck.... why does that not supprise me

  • @CrackinVTEC666 thats funny, you can't even spell surprise right. doesn't say much about you

  • @coltsfan614 auto-correct on your phone will fuck anybody up and you know im right thats why the only thing you could come back with was a spelling error caused by technology ... you...FAIL!!

  • @CrackinVTEC666 all im saying is the fact you don't pay attention before you do something just like this guy did. simple as that.

  • @coltsfan614 no there is a big difference between autocorrect changing my text and putting gasoline in a diesel truck i mean you have to select what grade of gasoline you want before you put it in ... how stupid can you be there is no excuse for what he did

  • "hey steve punch it!" ......genius!

  • Most modern diesel engines are direct injected and have compression ratios averaging around 15:1. My s/c'd car has a compression of 11:1 and doesn't pre-ignite with 87 octane. If you used 93 octane, there would be even less chance for pre-ignition. Now, with a turbo diesel, you would have to mix the gas and diesel (which is what I assume happened here) to even get it to run because the gas wouldn't ignite under that little pressure so many times successfully enough to get it to run.

  • different color, different size, a big fucking sign that says DIESEL dint set off an alarm? "punch it"? say bye bye Bro-dozer.

  • of course its a ford owner. first mistake was buying a ford. second mistake putting gas in a diesel good job guys mad props

  • bye bye 6 litre! they can barely run on diesel.

  • @KylesFarm they do real well down hill though..

  • uhhh, I wouldn't be running the truck and reving it up all day, I'd suck the gas out of the tank and put diesel back in before my engine burns up.

  • How did it even run without sparkplugs? I call bullshit.

  • @tuggerpuppy1 you don't need plugs to ignite gas in a diesel engine, the compression can ignite diesel what makes you think it wont ignite gas?

  • @woolridgewilly Well gas has a much higher compression ignition than diesel fuels.

  • @tuggerpuppy1 most diesels are around 20:1 compression ratios, most gas motors are around 8 or 9:1, if u have a 12:1 gas motor on pump gas it can predetonate, meaning it fires off compression before the spark ignites it. very bad for your motor

  • @tuggerpuppy1 ? i thought gas was more volatile and more susceptible to ignition under lower CR's

  • @Ryknfjor No not at all.. Gas reacts under heat not pressure. But high pressure creates heat, thus ignition. But it's still extremely unlikely that this truck is running on gasoline alone.

  • What do you expect from Ford owners?

  • Dude punch it..... What he really should of done was shut the truck off and walked over and punched him square in the face... Deserve to have a destroyed motor... Gas don't lubricate....lol

  • Your stupid and I'm happy your pickup is broken... Good day.

  • that's just the sound that all 6.0's make

  • Stop! You are committing murder of a truck!

  • if u were smart you would have put a couple quarts of oil in the fuel, and top it off with diesel

  • Thats not the worst or dumbest thing I've seen done. Had a couple come in the parts store where I'm the GM. They bought coolent well the guys tells his girl to go put it in, well she does right in the oil fill,.but who was the dumb one the guy or his gf?

  • @fox351swap I would go with the guy is the dumb one.

  • @fox351swap both

  • my friend had gas put into his 6.0. Ended up having to have a whole new feul system and a new motor wasnt cheap for a stupid mistake.

  • sounds a little rough but atleast its still running it will burn off after time I wouldn't worry that much about it. It will be fine just refill with diesel

  • i like the dude where he says punch it,, stupid people in this world as soon as he found out he put gas it int, should have it towed drained and fixed right. the worst thing he could have did was let the damn thing run.

  • wow.im surprised it even started....

  • Did this to a duramax and blew both heads.

  • I don't know which is funnier, the fact that he put gasoline in a diesel truck, the amount of money he's gonna spend on a new set of injectors and a fuel pump, or the moron that started it up instead of draining the fuel system...

  • @FordToughDiesel i was gonna add something to the list but it got lonely and left...

  • @FordToughDiesel number 3!! Number 3!! NUMBER 3!!! hahahaha

  • He also filled the camera with sugar cubes instead of AA's

  • genious [sic]...How ironic this is bwahahahahaha

  • ha. dumbass. "Dude, PUNCH IT"

  • What's even more retarded is the dumbass is running his truck after knowingly putting gas in it. Wait until that smokes that $400+ fuel pump, and $2000-$3000 worth of injectors. Not including labor costs or just personal time to change those. Not to mention anything else within the sensitive fuel system.

    Fuckin' idiot...

  • well you can say goodbye to those injectors and injection pump at the very least just for the sake of filming this video

  • not very wise to do that it will mess up the injectors and the pump

  • wow, i hope this wasn't the repair shop.

  • I worked with a guy who had a diesel rabbit and would put a gallon of unleaded in when he filled his tank, said it was to help the fuel on cold mornings. Is that true that it helps or was he being nuts?

  • @genenco1

I never done it. but the gas might help the diesel fuel from gelling.

  • @genenco1 depends on how much diesel he was adding that gallon to. gas will help the diesel from gelling and its more volatile and will ignite easier then the diesel when cold. but very much of NOT GOOD for the injectors and pump

  • DUMMAS

  • Daddy going to be pissed!!!

  • dumbass is only the qualification to actually put gasoline in a diesel truck you have to be an even dumber ass to fire it up & rev it what a TARD!

  • @bud385 exactly

  • Was this a clunker? Nobody would be stupid enough to do this to a vehicle they care about lol.

  • Meh, we've all done it. Even a genius can make a mistake.

  • it will probably be ok, just run really hot

  • @caseboyed No way. Petrol doesn't have anywhere near the same lubrication qualities as diesel. It is almost certain you will ruin the fuel injection system.

  • @HFLanciaStratos I realize that but it depends if it already had some diesel in it. You would be surprised the capability of a modern day diesel..

  • @caseboyed Diesels have many capabilities, but running properly with the wrong fuel in them is not one of them. You'll reduce the damage if it already has diesel in it, but your best bet is always to drain the fuel before you start the vehicle up.

  • @HFLanciaStratos I agree, but I personally know someone who had an old 12v at the end of its rope.. he mixed the diesel with gasoline and it ran through the whole tank. I'll add that it was really hot, but didn''t blow up. No, I don't think it would run on pure gasoline though.. Kind of cool really-- ever read the alternative fuel list for a 12 valve in the owners manual? Kerosene, Jet A, Jet B, JP-8, not to mention vegetable oil and biodiesel of all sorts. Pretty cool, really.

  • @caseboyed Yeah, diesels are tougher than petrol engines. The only cars that I've heard of even coming close to the lifespan of diesels are old Volvos, Saabs and Mercedes which are more overengineered than Panzer tanks.

  • @HFLanciaStratos You're exactly right. In fact, petrol is not a lubricant at all—it has no lubrication properties. During my apprenticeship in the 80's, I was taught that petrol is an abrasive and eventually wears out carburettor jets. And on a cold start, it washes oil off the bore. If you have duel-fuel, always cold-start with gas. You can warm-start with gas or petrol.

  • How is this possible?

  • i know a dumbass he worked for Binswanger Glass in Witchta Falls Texas we drove till Altus Oklahoma before he said anything .....i laughed my ass off 3,500 bucks worht of damage, yet he still had a job .....go's to show ya it aint who you know its who you blow

  • no worries, its just a piece of shit ford haha

  • I drive a diesel and somehow I always remember to go to the lone pump away from the line of pumps. Idiot...

  • @BXM4C I agree, how the fuck do you put gasoline in your diesel. Serious you shouldnt own a diesel if your that retarded.

  • the bigger idiot is the one who started the damn truck up instead of draining the fuel system

  • @ManyZanbuye probably the same guy!

  • @ManyZanbuye whats wrong with running it with gas?

  • @wtl1964 Cuz it a diesel it runs on diesel it has glow plugs not spark plugs again it runs a diesel

  • @Mrtruckboy9 i feel like you dont know much about what your talking about glow plugs are for cold starts those motors use etreme pressure to spark the gas and gas has a lower spark rate

  • @wtl1964 ur kidding right? Gasoline is not meant for DIESEL FUELED ENGINES. its pretty obvious. whats the point of diesel engines if you can put regular gasoline?

  • @ManyZanbuye you dont get it,its not gana hurt if he drives it home drains it and still has some in there when he put diesel like i said i feel like you dont know much dude im ase certified and i say its ok to have a little if he put some in there by accident

  • @wtl1964 see heres the thing he basically filled it up!! well hes ASE certified in the retarded division. I being a technician would never start up a diesel truck with the wrong fuel. BTW i do know ;)

  • @wtl1964 who taught you diesel ASEs? or are you just an automotive mechanic who thinks he knows diesel? I was taught in both automotive and diesel technologies and you never run a diesel engine with gasoline in it. EVER. Diesel fuel has lubricating qualities that gasoline does not have and most diesel engines take advantage of that in their designs. if you take that lubricity away you will destroy components on a diesel engine. period.

  • @Batojiri1 i didnt realy study much in diesel i dabbled in semi truck diesel but i didnt know and i still think it wouldnt be bad to have a little gas left in there

  • "dude Punch it"

bad enough he filled it up with gasoline he doesn't need to rev it and possibly destroy it

  • @Taydrum better than diesel in gas at least he could drive it home

  • @wtl1964

    still not good

  • What kind of potato did you film this with?

  • Comment removed

  • @zebov88 Looks like a Russet potato.

  • @zebov88 Can't expect everyone to own HD Cameras

  • @blood117 My cell phone takes better quality video than whatever this guy used, and it's not HD.

  • @zebov88 YOUR MOM's!.

  • @TLJAWSIMIB lolz

  • @zebov88 IT IS THE GOD AMN TRUTH!!!!. SERIOUSLY!!!!!.

  • @TLJAWSIMIB But she doesn't have a potato!

  • @zebov88 OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!. YOU ARE AN IDIOTIC DUMB JACKHOLE!!!!. SERIOUSLY!!!!!.

  • @zebov88 your mom

  • @zebov88 You made my day.

  • @zebov88 i think it was an idaho gold

  • @zebov88 idaho russet I bet. them new red skinless have much better frame rates.....

  • @zebov88 not a potato, a TI-89 HD calculator

  • @1000hpHONDA, no it was a potato.

  • @zebov88 probably a potato that uses diesel but put gas in it...

  • @yaseenshuja1 hahahhahahahhahahha. thats fuuny as hell!! im seriouslt ROTFLMAO!

  • This debate is stupid I'll settle it........... diesel engines can run on gas but normally will over heat......... most modern gas motors can not run on diesel because the compression is not high enough to create combustion..... old school 2 stroke gas motors sometimes have enough compression to run diesel........ also putting 1 gallon of gas into a diesel tank which is full can actually improve gas mileage

  • @cosmocasper And diesel needs to be heated to explode, and gas needs a spark

also, my 93 f250 is down right now, and it has about 1/2 tank in the rear (bout a 16 gallon tank), do i need to drain the diesel out and add new diesel, its been sitting for about 18 months.

  • what a sad claim of a shitty powerjoke about to die so they claim they put gas in a diesel. LMFAO!! understand i'm kidding!!!

  • shes got a slight knock to er

  • Pardon me. I was saying you have made some fairly ignorant statements and i have seen none from her. Her point is, the only thing gas will hurt in a diesel is the fuel system. Which is true? i believe it is. Diesel in a gas motor can cause detonation and destroy pistons and rods ect. I dont like debating relatives such as "less damage"

ill find you some of your quotes that sound ignorant and would be satisfied if you explain. Please find me one of hers thats wrong, factually.

  • short question, can that hurts my car?

i wanna try that on my golf 3 TDI

what happens if i put 1:2 in ? means, 2L diesel and 1L Gasoline

  • @masterlooser15 why would you want to mix gas and diesel?

  • @twistedassassin07 i want that cool sound, in the movie xD

no, gasoline is now cheaper that diesel here.. so i wanna put some gas in..

  • sounds like a moped

  • The guys in the comments to this are a joke. Its youtube. Get over yourselves.

  • Haha Pinche Peter Griffins!!!

  • Lillie....could I please have your bosses phone number? I'd love to chat with him/her.... I witnessed you offering it to "Charlietow"....but you actually never complied with his request to receive the contact number...

  • i heard it will fry the piston rings

  • what is the clicking noise?

  • Comment removed

  • wow, you guys are talking about whether the fuels will ignite? thats not the issue. the issue when you put gas in a deisel will be you will destroy the engine. in a deisel engine, the fuel has some lubricating properties, and the deisel lubes the injectors. gasoline does not. you probly wont get far, the injectors will seize up or at least be severly worn down.

  • @speed150mph it is an issue along with what you said, gas in a diesel is very bad, diesel in a gas motor ain't gonna kill it

  • that's some serious detonation! just cost yourself about 10-15 grand on a motor job!

  • @Lillie1986

Had a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the 318 V8 in it. Loaned it to a girl so she could clean out her storage (yep I know loaning a truck to a girl is a big mistake), she calls me and tells me its running like shit. She drives it 30 miles back to my work. Get off work drive truck to friends find out the damn bitch put 19 gallons of diesel in it. Drained tank, ran premium fuel through truck, after a day it ran like new, actually ran better. Diesel cleaned out the engine.

  • @wildbill23c did you fucker after?

  • @mclovinloves don't you think she owed it to him? lol

  • @mclovinloves

Yeah, with the tuneup, fuel filter, and 2 - 20 gallon premium fuel fillup bills.

  • its just a ford who cares

  • @pbplayer91 lol good one

  • Worst idea ever to rev it like that. Goodbye injectors.

  • Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!

  • wow, thats a good way to literally burn holes in your pistons. Diesel in gas engine = smoke, no damage. Gas in Diesel engine = overcombustion at high compression = holes in your pistons/blown head

  • @jowen034 False, putting gas in a diesel engine doesnt damage the engine at all, it just wont start. Flush the system of gas and put fresh diesel in it and itll start right up.

Diesel in a gas engine however might cause a complete engine failure as the diesel might ignite from the compression. Clean diesel in a gas car however wont start either, but it usually mixes with the leftover gas

  • @Lillie1986 you have that totally backards... a gas engine, has spark ignition, a diesel engine, fires off from compression. gas in a diesel will cause explosive detonation due to the high compression. diesel has a higher flashpoint than gasoline. diesel in a gas engine, will just make it run like crap, and smoke real bad.

  • @charlietow No I dont. Ive flushed alot of diesel cars thats had petrol in them and theyve been fine. Gasoline has a very hard time igniting from compression alone, as its sort f made not to. It needs a spark to ignite.

Diesel however ignites very easely from compression alone, and on alot of gasoline cars, especially those that arent turbocharged it can generate enough compression to ignite the diesel.

You dont have to tell me that Im wrong, Ive been there.

  • @Lillie1986 ok sweetheart, if there is one thing i know, it's cars. i work on them for a living running my repair shop. a diesel engine on a typical car and light duty pick up has a comp ratio of 19.1 -25.1 to 1, a standard n/a gasoline motor has a comp ratio of 8.5 - 11.1 to 1. compression creates heat, therefore the more compression you run the more heat is generated. and most diesels are turbo charged, so you have the high compression on top of boost, makes for a lot of heat,

  • @Lillie1986 that's how a diesel fires off, is compression ignition. gas can fire off due to compression because it has a lower flashpoint. why does carbon build up in the combustion chamber cause detonation? because it raises the compression ratio, increasing the heat inside the cylinder causing the air/fuel mixture to prematurely go off (before the spark plug fires). not trying to insult your intelligence or anything, but you seem to be misinformed.

  • @charlietow Diesel has a much lower auto ignition temperature than Gasoline has. Also Ive never said that gasoline cannot self ignite, I said that Diesel self ignites much easier than gasoline does.

This discussion is irrelevant however, as I have proof in my hand. Ive flushed countless of dieselengines thats been filled with gasoline and not one engine has been damaged.

Ive seen gasoline engines with diesel in them having been completely destroyed too, so your argument falls flat.

  • @Lillie1986 does it fall flat? then how do you explain that i've ran diesel in my 92 chevy about 8 years ago, when she had only 130k that still runs years later with 250k on the odo, never had any issues with her. do you not understand what flash point is? and there is no fuel that self ignites. it ignites from some outside factor, i.e. spark, or compression.

  • @Lillie1986 the lowest flashpoint of diesel is 100 degree F, while gasoline has a flashpoint of -45 degree F. that means at negative 45 gasoline puts out enough vapor to ignite, where diesel has to be 100 before it becomes easy to ignite. that means diesel takes more to ignite then gasoline. this is not so much a discussion as it is me trying to inform you. i absolutely know for a fact that i'm right. been doing this for a pretty long time, and seen a lot of stuff with cars.

  • @charlietow A liquids flashpoint has nothing to do with the actual ignition.

This is a stupid idiotic and retarded discussion and its making me more and more annoyed because you keep speaking against something that I have DONE MANY TIMES. It doesnt matter what you say because IVE BEEN THERE. IVE FLUSHED DIESEL CARS WITH GAS IN THEM. LISTEN!!! Ive never seen a diesel car getting any damage from gasoline but Ive seen vice versa many times. Call my boss if you want absolute proof then.

  • @Lillie1986 how do you figure that a liquid's flashpoint has nothing to do with ignition?!? i'm trying to inform you, not argue with you. i've plenty of books on the internal combustion engine and volatile chemicals. fuel is not made to be lit off a certain way. it's made with different flashpoints, meaning how easy it is to ignite. gasoline is much easier to ignite than diesel. please for the sake of other's cars(if you actually work on them) read into this, i'm sorry but your wrong

  • @Lillie1986 and as i've said before, i own, and operate my own automotive repair shop, and i'm successful, at doing so, you can google ME!! i know exactly what i'm talking about here, without a shadow of doubt. oh and please for the sake of others do post what shop you work at, so if anybody reading this lives in your area they know where not to bring their vehicle. i can't believe you haven't googled this to see that i'm right. you must be one of those hard headed know it all type

  • @charlietow I have two questions then

    1. What causes damage on the engine from gasoline in a diesel engine?

    2. How do you explain my experiences?

  • @Lillie1986 1) gasoline damages a diesel engine from detonation (pre-ignition), trying to force the piston backward, shocking the bearings, amoung other things. why do you think turbo cars need premium only? it's due to the cylinder pressures they produce.

    2) i'm beginning to think you're full of it and have had no such experiences, you're just one of those youtube shit starters that likes to start shit on something you know nothing of. what shop do you work at then?

  • @Lillie1986 and you must live where there is nothing but idiots, if you've done countless flushes. i have over 10 years experience, i've flushes a few tanks due to an idiot putting in the wrong fuel.

and answer me this ms. knowitall... you put gas in a diesel tank, whats one problem you'll have before even putting the key in the ignition?

  • @charlietow Answer my question first then. And Im not entirely sure how successfully cleaning out a dieselsystem from gas is supposed to make me an idiot.

  • @Lillie1986 i answered both your questions already, look at two comments up. and i never called you an idiot, i said idiots put wrong fuel in, and you most live where there is a lot of idiots if you've drained countless tanks. i've been doing this again i say for over 10 years, only flushed a few tanks because of an idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @Lillie1986 now answer mine.. what's the first thing that starts to happen in modern diesels, before you even turn the key

  • @charlietow I dont know what youre trying to say. And as I asked first you answer first.

  • @Lillie1986 u r avoiding the question! i already answered ur questions! scroll up! 5 comments up to be exact! i'm really starting to think that you are just a cyber shit starter and don't even know the theory and operation of an internal cumbustion engine.

  • @charlietow No I dont understand your question thats the thing, and you havent answerd any of my questions.

  • @Lillie1986 please by all means, ask your questions again so i can answer them again then

  • @Lillie1986 1) gasoline ignites easier than diesel period! so the high compression of a diesel engine causes the air/fuel mixture to pre-ignite (detonate), causing potential catastrophic engine damage.

    2) i'm beginning to not believe you've had these experiences

now answer my question, it's quite simple for someone of your stature, if you are in fact such a great tech

what happens to the fuel system of a diesel if it's filled with gasoline, before there is any attempt to start the engine?

  • @charlietow 1. Saying gasoline ignites easier than diesel is simply false. Infact gasoline as a liquid doesnt burn at all, the fumes does. Even so gasoline has a much higher autoignition temperature compared to Diesel which requires much higher compression for it to actualy ignite. But even if it did ignite there wouldnt be any preignitions as the injectors on a diesel engine opens at the ignitionpoint where its supposed to ignite either way.

  • @Lillie1986 i'm trying to help you here, quit being so hard headed. i'm aware oh how fuels are ignited. what do you think the fumes are from? it's from the flashpoint of the fuel, flashpoint is the lowest possible temp that fuel begins to become a vapor that can be ignited, gasoline has a flashpoint of -45F, the lowest flash point of diesel is 100F, that means gas, ingnites easier. and there's no such term as autoignition in the automotive industry, you're thinkg of detonation

  • @charlietow Im not thinking of detonation, the chemical definition is "auto-ignition temperature". Its when a liquid or substance selfignites from heat alone.

Also there is, its called an Octane rating. Gasoline normaly have an Octane rating of around 85-100 where as Diesel is somewhere around 15-25. It means Gasoline is very resistant to self detonation.

  • @Lillie1986 87-93 what do you think compression is? it's heat! that's how diesel fires off

you don't go by the octane rating of diesel you go by the cetane rating, and diesel at the pump is around 40-50 on the cetane rating

  • @charlietow Everything has an octane rating none the less. And theres 98 and 99 octane fuel in europe by the way.

Compression isnt heat, compression generates heat. Dont mix them up. And yes thats how diesel fires off, but it isnt how gas engines fires off. Which is why gasoline is much harder to ignite by heat alone.

  • @Lillie1986 yes exactly it creates heat, and diesel fires off only due to heat of compression, fuel uses a spark but does not need a spark, and it's not harder to ignite then diesel, and this isn't europe, it's USA, and your channel says you're in the USA or is that just more BS you're lying about

  • @charlietow And btw to answer your question absolutely nothing happens. If you do try and start the engine for more than a few seconds you can run the risk of damaging injectors or the injectionpump though, but thats only due to lack of proper lubrication as gasoline doesnt lubricate as well as diesel does.

Also feel free to call my boss. Ive flushed atleast two cars just recently. One fairly new Nissan and one old Volvo.

  • Comment removed

  • @charlietow And how the fuck does gasoline even enter the cylinder before youve tried to start it if I may ask?

And how does an engine who sprays the fuel directly into the cylinder right before the ignitionpoint preignite?

What youre saying is physicly impossible, the only way you can actualy blow up a diesel engine with gas is if you continue t
