  • arabian its the best Especially the egyptian

  • @ALPEPE2000 I love Egyptian Arabians

  • i like arabians theyre cool but i like thoroughbreds better.... just my opinion....but right now im riding an anglo arab....thts a perfect combination:)

  • arabians and thoroughbreds are very in common. infact they are in some ways related! thats why some thoughroubreds look like these amazing arabs!

  • Wow cool!

  • Just my opinion...but I like em all! :-)

  • Your so right - but if wasn't for the Arabian the Quarter horse and TB wouldn't exsist many people still don't know that! I 2 love all horses but Arabians are my favorite they ROCK:))

  • Exactly! Any breed that people wanted to add refinement and stamina, they would always sprinkle a lil Arabian into the stew. So many breeds can trace their history all the way back to Arabs. It's awesome! :)

  • All horses rock at their individual purpose...as far as racing goes, Pit a quarter horse, a TB and an arab...all bred to run, all fast as hell, one no better than the other, cause the quarter would OWN for the first half mile at least then he'd run outta steam, the TB would own for the next mile or two, then would come the arab, still truckin along happily laping the quarter horse and the TB, then continue on his merry way...Now a mix of the three...THATS A HORSE!!!! :-)

  • um does anyone know actually how the arabian horses came to be?? pratically every thoroughbred is decended from 3 (maybe more) arabian stallions.

  • Arabians *probably* are descended from the

Caspian, a small (10-12 h.) pony/horse native to Iran rediscovered in 1965. They look start-

lingly like miniature Arabians. Caspians seem to be an ancient (5000 yr) "natural" equine, not

    not developed by man.Numerous Arab/Barb/

Turk horses, mostly stallions, were involved in the foundation of the Thoroughbred. Only the Darley, Godolphin & Byerley stallions have lines persisting in tail mail descent, which is why they are called the foundation sires.

  • I meant "tail male" of course!

  • i mena the big named thoroghbreds(seabiscuit, man o' war, Secretariat, war admiral)

  • You have NO idea!

Arabians were the FIRST ever purebred!

Meaning Caspians were closly descended from the Arabian but didnt catch the height, ive been studying horse and pony bloodlines for over 17 years now. Take my word for it!

  • Everyone is going to stick up for their fav breed of horse.Clearly. And It dosen't make one better than another.Every breed of horse will put it's heart into a sport if it enjoys it, again it dosen't have to do with the breed.

Me myself I love Arabians, they are very versitile. But just about any horse can be versitle.

Pleas don't respond to the in a angry mannor i'm not here to fight.

  • arabs r cool... but i think thoroughbreds r better at racing, but arabs r better at other stuff =]

  • Arabians were bred for stamina(endurance) so they excel in that sphere but may not like it as every horse is an individual.

Where as Thoroughbreds were descended from Arabians as said above, bred for speed, Stamina (but not as much as arabians) and galloping.

    Take my word for it.

  • pschhhhh my throughbred could whip their but's XD

  • Comment removed

  • My annehpants could tharsh all your horses butts to heaven and back and still win a race, so HAH! (how does it feel being pwned by a 13 hand pony? huh?)

  • it has been said that mustangs can outrun a champion racehorse.

I love horse, but my fave breed of horses are Arabians, Mustangs, Quarter Horses, and Thoroughbreds.

  • @JessieAckles Shure it can. TB racehorses are made for flat ground while wild mustang can handle chancing and difficult terrains.

  • I know the granddaughter of the Secratariat of Arabian racing

  • Arabian's better Thoughtbred...not better? Arabian can go longer than any gaited horse. That was a crazy comment gaited can go longer than an arab ha.

  • Gaited can go longer distances, just because they can... God knows why...

    Arabians are beautiful...

  • mmkay, tb's are meant more for shorter distances, but arabs are meant for longer distances. everyone happy? lol.

  • arabians were racing across the desert long b4 the thoroughbre was invented by man

  • Thoroughbreds are descended from the Arabian. That's where they get their heart from...

  • Then why don't Arabians have any?

  • That doesn't make sense. I can't have a conversation with someone who has such little knowledge when it comes to horses.

  • You seem to think that thoroughbreds get everything from arabians, they don't. They are very distant now, having not been bred together for hundreds of years. The TB is its own breed.

  • Uh, Thoroughbreds and Arabians weren't bred together. The Thoroughbred was a product from an Arabian stallion and a English mare being bred TOGETHER. I'm not sure if you understand that.

But regardless, read the last comment I wrote. Thank you, have a nice day.

  • I know about TB Lineage, but wasn't going to go into detail about it. Im sure you got my point.

  • And I'm sure you got mine.

  • actually yes they were the arabian is what gave the TB it's spped and stamina. look it up.

  • true that

  • Thats funny considering the Darley Arabian was the major influence in the creation of the TB... so i believe they have the right to racing.

  • well sorry, but leave it to TB's to race. the term 'the sport of kings' was created for TB's. (no offence to anyone who likes arabs)

  • TBs were developed from Arabs.

  • Wanna bet?

  • No, that term was created for the Arabian. Pe0ople just moved it to the TB later, but the arabian is still better.

  • I'd like to know how to get X-racers. I have TB race horses and would like to get a few Arab pony horses. Thanks.
