  • Damn.... now where tf did my nose piece go...

  • Very helpful thanks a ton.. Won't attempt this too many times though, don't wanna wear out the connecting points..

  • wait, how much do we bend the frame?? haha. just kidding. good video :)

  • let me guess a little bit

  • thanks man! great tutorial. I learned a lot.

  • Could you replace the XLJ lens on the XLJ version with the regular more round ones? Thanks

  • @Copglock yep

  • i cant get the arm off! and i was trying a lotta bit!

  • how much did you pay for yours??

  • The arms get really loose after doing this -:(

  • just a little bit?

  • dude i cant get the arms off they wont friggen come off!

  • I bent the frame just a little bit and it snapped in half!

Did I bend it a bit to much?

  • this one's gonna take a little bit cuz it's pretty long

    that's what she said! oh!

    buh duh chhh

  • honestly I spent 15+ minutes trying to get the first arm out so i gave up and i figured out you can just slide the top small ear sock off the back too but it takes a little while and a little bit of manuvering till u get the hang of it

  • one thing i must say is that dont take out your lenses a lot bc it scratches the top a lot js

  • I wanna change my lenses in mine flak jackets XLJ , so thats the reason why I watched this video. Though the way you showed me kinda scares me the way you took them out.

  • how have his sunglasses not broken

  • @reeds2012 because they're oakleys

  • @reeds2012 theyre oakleys my friend theyre indestructible

  • wait we bend the frame just a little bit?

  • @drumrush0001 yep, just a little. the frame will be fine.

  • I have flak jackets with standard size lenses, can I fit XLJ size lenses?

  • @storck08 yep, either lens works, its only the bottom part of the lens thats shaped different

  • @nukem384 and the sides

  • Is the arm as sturdy as the half X?

  • I wonder why he's struggles a bit on 2:39 and later to slide the ear socks and the other thingy off... mine slide right off without much effort. I wonder why. mine are brand new.

  • @johnpatlanta i have a pair of foakleys that slide right off, maybe yours are fake

  • @zshortyz they can't be. I ordered them from oakley.com

Actually the earsucks don't really slide "right off" they're just not as tight as his.

  • has anyone had the arms loosen up a little after replacing the earsocks? I sort of warped the socket, twisting the same way as in the vid. I think it's inevitable, the lower nub in the pic at 2:32 looks kind of bent too

  • niceee! :D

  • hey nice vid. i was wondering cause i got mine for christmas today.. how did you get rid of the sqweeking noise that the arms makes.

    -thanks, andrew

  • @IndiansPlayer17 just keep opening and closing them. its cause they are new, itll go away once you break them in a bit.

  • I have 4 pairs of Oakleys too

  • I put this on facebook because this guy knows what he is doining! I just got these Oakley's too

  • This guy knows what he is doing! Thank you so much.

  • This guy knows what he is doing!

  • @00769bond awesome thanks! yeah love these shades too!

  • Guy's, these frames are amazing! I just bought a pair the other day and upon checking out the employee was showing me how to change the lenses and once the lenses were out he took the frame and twisted it literally 180 degrees like he was wringing out a towel. I was like, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?! but he assured me that these frames are flexible and strong enough to handle it.

  • awesome helpful vid.. im bout to get some flaks with a red accent kit

  • i've been having a ton of trouble reinstalling the left lens in my flaks. how do i do it. oh my god its driving me crazy.

  • @bournebutler I completely know what you mean, experiment with where you're bending the frame and by how much, it'll go eventually. It took me like 15 min to get that f*cker back in.

  • @ZuluWun took me about 2 hours....

  • @ZuluWun it took me like 30 min to get one of them back in! I thought i was gonna end up breaking the frame or the lenses...

  • @johnpatlanta same. it's ridiculous how much the material of the frame can bend

  • lol, I'm cautious about bending my frame too. I'm pretty sure they can handle more than that though
