This TV series really inspired me when I was younger...It inspired me so much that I am planning to write a book with similar characters I found on this show.

I remember back in the late 90s or early 2000 whenever I woke up in the mornings and after some brief cartoons, i will be waiting for this show to begin white I ate my breakfast of hot chocolate and buttered toast slowly. Good memories.

Jesse became a big deal because he was the actor who won an Emmy. I believe that actors that played Jesse and Becca were nominated for Golden Globe awards. This show was extremely brave addressing AIDS, it was on a major network in the early 90's.

True huge fans of LGO will know Season 1 came out on DVD in May of 2007.

I'm guessing most like me already have it.

It's been 2 years, and Seasons 2,3,4 have not been released.

We only got the 1st season and not the rest. We got majorly jipped here.

Why release just Season 1, and not the rest (rhetorical question)

As much as I loved this show, I too agree that it was too Jessyish in the 4th season.

The best seasons were 1-3 where they focused on Corky and his adventures and the family.

Then it became nothing but an AIDS show.

actually I think it got better with Jessie entering into the show. this was a real world issue and needed to be addressed. plus it was a beautiful love story and made me want to watch it even more..plus it didn't hurt that chad lowe was in it.

I got season 1 on DVD from Columbia House. Actually my husband ordered it for me bc he knows that I really liked this show. They have never allowed anymore more seasons to be put out on DVD yet and the eps with Jesse were my fav.

@olemissgirl2010 I was alive during this time, watching this series with my mom.At first, it was strongly implied that Jesse was gay and then the media got all over it as they did back then, then, he said in an actual episode that he was bisexual.The show kept having to sidestep and backtrack to stay on the air to be allowed to get the message out...it could also have been about educating people at that time that AIDs was not a 'dirty' 'gay' disease.A similar thing happened with My SoCalled Life

Before he started on the show, he had unprotected sex with a girl who later tested positive with HIV. Later in the third season Becca and Jesse went looking for her and found out she had died.

He was dreaming/having a premonition of events to come. He gradually gets sick throughout this episode. It was hard seeing him struggle with his shoulder throughout the episode. He should've told someone.
