I actually hold two jobs, one in the public sector and one in the private sector, and work just as hard in each. Lazy people exist in both the public and private sector, the only difference is that in a private sector job, the employer is the only one who cares about laziness, whereas the public takes note of lazy government employees because they are paying their wages. As such, this creates to the generalization that private sector workers are lazy.
