Ladies and Gentlemen... Mr. Tommy Aldridge. One, if not the best drummer to ever bang the skins. Lars couldn't hold a candle to Tommy on his worst day. This man knew his skill and only perfected it more as he went. I would only also rate Neil Pert in this class.

@NormanRB Lars couldn't hold a candle to the likes of a beginner that has just learn the basic rock beat. Tommy is beyond awesome though :)

@NormanRB the only thing lars had going for him was he could go from point a to point b without messing up the rhythm, as he and hetfield locked in together on those uptempo, stop/start riffs and...well...that's about it

@blica1 Yeah amazing pretty much the same as when he was with Black Oak. That's Tommy at his best to me.Raunch & Roll Live saw them live back in the day. Same Solo but still great.
