  • All three parts of the song is so wonderfully assembled in one here.

  • Even today the LORI makes me sleepy whenever I listen it-not to hindi speaking but to othersalso this Lori will be very good.Really very effective combination of Voice, music and lyrics-no match ever possible.

  • @mkkalra Yes.....and that is close to 60 years later..........

  • song picturised on Bimla Kumari and Bhagwan. Bimla Kumari also sings " hawa mein udta jai mera lal dupatta malmal ka.." in film Barsat. Ten years later she can also be seen singing "meri jan o meri jan achha nahin itna sitam, mujhe na ched sanam mar gai mein teri qasam.." in 1962 film Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam while performing a mujra for Rehman.

  • rajinder krishan...lyric writer.

  • Evergreen song...love you whoever created this magnificence

  • @Ruhi2885 the composer of this song is C.Ramachandra.

  • What a DIRECTION, in the sad part version of the song where even the begger is shown giving away his last penny to her..........

  • TOO SWEET a composition. EVERGREEN and everlasting. Goes without saying it as one can tell looking the time line, 58 years have gone by since the song was born.................

  • This what music, melody, song and gift of God is.....Just TOO good.

  • I used to sing this lori to my wife and my children to help them fall asleep. Now my son sings it to his daughter who is only 17 months old and was born in USA.She is mesmerized by it.such is the power of good music t his lori is direct from heavens.Jio Lata deedi.and my head bows to Chitalkar jee.

  • The actress is Vimla Kumari, also acting in barsaat, hawa mein udta jai mera lal dupatta, here gained some more weight

  • Who is this actress? I think she is absolutely heartbreaking in the sad part of this song.

  • Anyone says there is no perfection in this world has never heard Lata sing.

  • mind blowing

  • la la la la lorry, dudh ki katori by Mukesh and may gavu tum sau javo by Rafi are great. K L SAIGAL did sau ja raj kumari sau ja.

  • A C RAMCHANDRA composition, EVERGREEN.

  • A beautiful song sung with an Angelic voice!

Please try to upload a loveable melody : chanda mujhko laaj na aaye - sung by the great - Lata Mangeshkar !

I made a valiant effort to look for it in the internet, but was unsuccessful.

However this song will be aired next Sunday night at 8.00 pm Sri Lanka time

    over "Lakhanda"

You can get it recorded and then post it to YT. God Bless!!!

  • The lullaby from the film 'Shabab' is also a favourite of mine: 'Chandan Ka Palna, Resham Ki Dori' It was sung by the all time great Hemant Kumar.

  • In my opinion, this lullaby is among the best in the world. The sweet voice of Lata Mangeshkar makes it immortal.

  • This is good but in addition we have other excellent loris like 'Neend bhare pankh liye' from Sujata, 'Mera raja beta bujhe' from Anurag, ' Chandare soye mere maina' from Lajwanti, 'Sojare soja mere akhiyonki taare' from Jeevan Jyoti etc.

  • the best lori ever.lori from film naukar is the second best... can anyone suggest any better..? please do.

  • most of lataji's loris are exquisite although this was v popular among the oldest . other beauties are

1] aa ja rii aa nindiyy tu aa from do beegha zameen

2] main jaagoon re tu so ja from do aankhein barah haath

3] neend parii lori gaaye from chaar diwaari

4] khoya khoya chanda by asha ji from door gagan ki chhaon mein

  • A beautiful Lori (combined two separate songs here).
