For the times in was made in, in the early to mid nineties, it was a very well made show. Kevin himself would not appreciate your comment of it being fake. The same costume designers and other series artists worked on The Lord of The Rings movies. Goes to show the talent that went into it. The acting was also superb, and so were most of the story lines. Some of the monsters weren't great, hence the set budgets. Perhaps the second time watching, you'll note some of what I've said?

Yes, they're some type of monitor where Zeus is trying to show Hercules his life through a series of images (of Hercules' life) to remind him how he is destined to be a full God.

No Hera went to Tartarus but was freed in one of the last episodes of Hercules she appeared in. Evander, son of Ares, a little boy, freed her and she then changed her nasty ways toward Hercules and humanity!

No, not cancelled; Kevin was very worn from working very hard on the show for 7 years. Wanted a less strenuous schedule. The show was number 1 in the world while airing and topped Baywatch as the most watched in the world. The show would have gone on indefinately had he gone on with it!

Yes that was Hercules' wife, Deinera. I may not have the spelling correct though! Hera hated Hercules because he was the result of her husband Zeus' affair with Alcmene, Hercuels' mother, to answer your other question. Thanks for watching!

Not sure, they didn't factor Meg into the HTL show. Meg was featured in the Disney version as you know. I read somewhere that Meg died also at the hands of Hera...but not sure!

In Euripides' version of the tale, Heracles (Hercules) was driven mad by Hera and HE killed his wife Megara and their children. So while Hera was indirectly responsible for Megara's death, she didn't kill Megara herself.

In the myths Deianira actually killed Heracles, albeit unintentionally. Fearing that Herc would stray she gave him what she believed to be a love potion that would make him faithful to her, but it was actually poison. Deianira committed suicide afterwards.

Hi, there were 6 seasons all avail. on DVD. Kevin Sorbo says he was tired from all the hard work for 7 years, and wanted to move on. So the show ceased, it was not cancelled. Most watched show in the world in first run episodes and still going strong in over 150 countries!

Yes it's one of my faves too. The snake is called "Hydra" (a Hera creation); it has one immortal head. Every time it is cut off, it grows a new one. Hercules burned the heads off and apparantly, that fixed Hydra for good!

Before the Olympian Gods were the Titans. Zeus overthrew the Titans' position and sent them to "Tartarus", an abyss where Gods are sent when punished.

When Herc threw Hera over the "balcony" he threw her into Tartarus, he did not kill her. She re-emerges later in the Hercules episode "Full Circle" where she is brought back from Tartarus by Evander with the help of Zeus, his grandfather.

Hera later appears in the Xena episode "God Fearing Child" where she allies with Hercules for a change as she is more forgiving (in part due to her memory loss from being imprisoned).

Hercules tries to prevent Zeus (Charles Keating) from killing Xena's unborn child, a move borne of Zeus' fear that the baby will fulfill the prophecy that the Olympian gods will be destroyed by "a child not begotten of man."

Wanted to mention that Evander was the son of Ares and Nemesis, and was more powerful than Ares. Hercules killed Zeus in the same episode as Zeus sought to destroy Xena's baby.
