I`m not sure about MMA rules, but in Muay Thai this sometimes happens. They just score the fight by points, so if one of the fighters are ahead on points he will get the win even if he gets knocked out. It would make sense to have the same rules in MMA, but in this fight, if this was the first round - a draw.
