  • Dr. Punch got mixed up, Davey Allison's first win was at Talladega, not Dover.

  • Ahh the begining of a legacy...

  • TONY U DENTED THE ROOF IMAGINE WAT U WOULD DO TO IT NOW ?!?!?!?!?! LOL

  • Yea go stewart!

  • good times huh? when there was no chase, just all out driving all year, when people could actually bump eachother. and now look at nascar. sad..... johnson wouldn't survive these races

  • Its funny how ESPN had Bill Weber and Jerry Punch in the pits. Two of the most annoying commentators in NASCAR history

  • Tony did it the old fashion way in the 20. Joey Logono got lucky

  • @killerbees177 Lucky??? Well sir while I may not agree with what you just said I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

  • @Nascarking24 Yeah staying out cause of rain is luck. And what are you a POG

  • @killerbees177 Okay 2 things First: Didn't expect you to respond so fast considering I responded to a 2 year old comment. and Second: POG???

  • Zippy looks exactly like he does now haha

  • fiance?????what happened to her

  • In his biography it says that his racing career took up to much of his life that he didn't have the time for a future wife at the time, and I guess until he decides to retire from Nascar. I am sure it will be sooner than you think.

  • Zipadelli looks exactly like he does now.

  • Wait.....Fieance......whatever happend 2 her?

  • Whos the blonde chick???

  • a young tony stewart

  • Sad news happened to that date, Gonzalo Rodriguez was killed in a practice for the Shell 300 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey in California. He was only 27 years old.

  • Two years after at that date of Tony Stewart's first Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) career win, a tragedy struck at New York City, Washington DC and Pennsylvania's Flight 93. 3000 people claimed their lives.

5 years after Tony Stewart's first win, Jeremy Mayfield won that fall race a week before the 2004 Inaugural Chase for the Nextel Cup (now Sprint Cup).

  • 2 years later at that date the tragedy about the building happened

  • The good days of racing... what a good times... Thank you racermac1988 for this upload, and the others aswell... Keep them coming please!

  • First top 10 in Cup for Dale Jr. He would win the next Richmond race in his rookie year.

Wonder if Stewart will win at all with his new team, and when?

  • he has..the first year

  • @m140m He's won 4 so far.

  • I liked Tony when he started out in that white and orange 20 paint scheme, that was his best and will be the best I ever seen. Nowadays he's gained weight and more facial hair and had some altercations with his anger, but they are kind of forgiving for a youngster but not as forgiving for a 36 year old. I thought he was going to be a Jeff Gordon but he proved otherwise.

  • The Birth Of Another Legend That Night!!!!!

  • I remember this day when he started his Cup career at Daytona and finished ninth I knew there was potential and all year he ran pretty good but wow this was a special day, I literally cried when he won it I was so excited!!

Thanks for this trip down memory lane!

  • way to go tony great race for your first win keep it up racermac i love these classic races.
