@barbj7121 They just don't blend well together in this song, or maybe at all. The repartee at the start pegs it to a T as they discuss their different interpretations. Dwight describes his as more "white trash" which is to say Country. IMO Emmylou plays folk music, a citified version of rural, old timey or country music, but Dwight is a true country singer. Although related they're really two different genres. Compare it to Dwight singing with Patty Loveless
