  • I liked the part where he said show me the blueprints..

  • 3 ppl wouldn't show him all the blueprints, show him all the blueprints, show him all the blueprints, show him all the blueprints, show him all the blueprints, showhimalltheblueprints, showhimalltheblueprints,showhimalltheblueprints........

  • This is Arnie's job when he grows up.

  • >cough< I wanna get this done right so show me all the blueprints!

  • I think a lot of people have a degree of ocd. You could have it & nobody even know about it

  • C'mon guys! Give Leo an Oscar!!!! Or you know what? Give him 10, coz, that's how much he should own by now!!!

  • the best movie leo the best actor

  • They used to show me all the blueprints, then i took an arrow on the knee

  • People with OCD SUCK!!...

  • is it relevant that at the very end of this video the shadow is covering his face, but you can see it clearly in the reflection?

  • The cinematography in this scene, the composition of the sparks as a backdrop behind him, it's breathtaking!

  • Why wouldn't the guy just show him all the blueprints?!?!

  • I've read two Hughes biographies and don't recall any mention of him repeating things. I assume they included this symptom in the film as a way of illustrating Hughes's OCD, as it's always difficult to demonstrate an affliction of the mind. It's similar to the way Ron Howard dealt with John Nash's mental issues in 'A Beautiful Mind.'

  • Why on Earth Leo didn't get the Oscar for this amazing performance?!?!?

  • this rocks

  • Comment removed

  • i never understood why he repeated that so many times

  • @Dre003Dre OCD.

  • @Dre003Dre because he is crazy . duh

  • @Dre003Dre OCD.

  • 80 mg of Prozac would fix it nowadays. So tragic.

  • @chem100 Prozac only would ruin that genius mind

  • I love leo in this movie. He is half Jack, and half whoever he is now. But in this movie you can still see the Jack we all love from Titanic. <3 Leo!!!

  • it sucks

  • scary part is I can relate to this..

  • It is awful enough to have OCD now, but there are effective therapies for it. It would have been terrible back then when they had no idea how to treat it.

  • one of my Favorited movies ive ever seen

  • OCD is a very serious fucking disease. I repeat myself many times and It gets fucking sickening!

  • @StupidFuckingTrolls It's sad that so many people laugh at these kinds of mental illnesses without realizing how hard it is to have conditions such as OCD. It's not funny. I and other people have to go through the exact same shit you just in this video and as silly as it may seem it isn't easy to go through. Luckily I can control my OCD enough so that I don't repeat things in public but the same thing can't be said when I'm alone. I have spent hours repeating phrases and it's fucking horrible.

  • @LordAngus1992 I know thats why I commented

  • @LordAngus1992 I fully understand how that goes, I mean completely. I simply thank god for my doctors and life goes on.

  • Just show him the blueprints.

  • OCD -- not an easy affliction to live with.

  • you should have called this 'show me all the blueprints'

  • the next video you have to see is about the way of the future. the next video you have to see is about the way of the future.the next video you have to see is about the way of the future.the next video you have to see is about the way of the future.the next video you have to see is about the way of the future.the next video you have to see is about the way of the future.

  • i love u leo!!

  • Like this if you play Zombie Lane and need blueprints

  • he has beauitful eyes

  • I love his little accent here...uh...what kind of accent is it? lol

  • Someone explain to me again exactly why he didn't win the Oscar for this performance. Is it possible there was someone better that year?

  • i think he wants to see the blueprints

  • ¡ I like this video ! ¡ I like this video ! ¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !¡ I like this video !

  • Three people wouldn't show Leo the blueprints.

  • The first time I watched this I was like: "oh god... show him the goddamn blueprints!!! quickly!!"

Leo is such an amazing actor...

  • is the reason he keeps saying it over and over bc he isnt satisfied with the way it sounds coming out of his mouth? is that the obsessive part? or is it just one of his tics or rituals?

  • @pnut3844 He isnt satisfied by the way he says it, i think his ritual is spelling out quarintine.

  • ive had OCD my whole life and it sucks! i love this movie and i think leo is absolutely brilliant and believable - expect i cant watch it often because it hits a bit too close to home! especially the part in the hotel room...ive also shut myself off from everything for months before

  • He didn't won the Oscar cause Jamie Foxx was perfect as Ray! If wasn't that.. he would won! =X

  • @lucascjardim Yeah I know I heard Jamie Foxx really did drugs for that movie.

  • how leo hasnt won an oscar yet is unbelivable!!!!....his portayal of howard hughes is absolutely epic!!!!!!

  • @mchudi91 Agreed. Its a shame he didn't win best actor for this!

  • @mchudi91 I was going to say the same thing! For either this or maybe the basketball diaries, I think he won a best supporting actor though in whats eating Gilbert Grape

  • If you say this long enough it becomes a tongue twister.

  • I love this... Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints. Show me all the blueprints.

  • We watched this in Psychology and this is all anybody says now.

  • The worst part is that Hughes was completely sane. He probably knew that everything he was doing was irrational, he just couldn't stop. So when he was living as a hermit in a hotel room, using tissue boxes for shoes and storing his urine in jars, he still had some awareness that his behavior didn't make much sense.

  • @aquagrl63 Yeah, unfortunately that's the case for all anxiety disorders. It's actually the main characteristic that separates anxiety disorders from other mental illness': The people are completely aware their being irrational. If someone isn't aware, it's not an anxiety disorder. As someone who suffered with mental OCD for the better part of my life, let me tell you, THIS is by far the worst part; knowing your unable to control your own mind. The guilt and shame you feel is incredible.

  • @aquagrl63 it's called OCD you fuck tard!

  • @StupidFuckingTrolls Um, I knew that. I have it, myself.

  • Great actor!

  • the way of the future the way of the future the way of the future the way of the future ...

  • 3 people don't like blueprints.

  • Q-U-A-R-A-N-T-I-N-E, quarantine.

  • How him all the what?...

  • The gold starts at 1:12

  • Best example of OCD I have ever seen in any movie.

  • Show me all the blueprints...

  • The best actor alive. (The year is 2011)

  • HE FORGOT TO SAY THE MAGIC WORD.

  • leo is great as hughes, and should have have won an oscar.

  • Leo is very good in this scene...I just wish he didn't furrow his brow SO HARD to convey emotion.

  • @KellyGreen5555 I don't think he was furrowing his brow to convey emotion. I think it was more because he was so tortured by NOT being able to turn his brain off and make himself stop repeating those words over and over again. OCD effing SUCKS :(

  • that sounds a little like tourrettes but it probably isn't because I have OCD and there have been time where I had to say whole sentences. Not specifically over again but just I had to say a phrase at a certain time or mention something in a situation. It's like you'll explode if you don't.

  • He nailed this movie, he is so good man

  • wow. i cannot believe he didnt get that oscar.

  • It is absolutely shameful that this man has not won an oscar.

  • Damn, I really hope he got to see those blueprints...

  • you mean most beautiful

  • show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints

show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints

show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints

  • in order to help him portray this role, leonardo dicaprio spent time with a real OCD patient and he explained to leo how sometimes he repeats things over and over again

  • i do this..it sucks. its not as funny as you all think

  • I AM A MOVIE FANATIC AND ITS SOMETHING FOR ME TO SAY HOW WELL THIS FILM IS. I HAVE NOT THE WORDS TO DO IT JUSTICE. THIS IS A MOVIE THAT I CAN SAY THAT I WATCH NUMEROUS TIMES. I CANT GET TIRED OF IT DAMNIT. I FEEL IN MY HEART THAT THIS TRUELY IS WHAT AN OSCAR PERFORMANCE IS, THERES NO JUSTICE IN MOVIE POLITICS. GREAT JOB LEO

  • I can relate to this movie because I have OCD as well, not nearly as severe as Howard Hughes though!

  • "Take a couple hours off, relax a little, see your wife."

Hilarious. In Hughes' workshop that's an extended vacation.

  • @futurestoryteller haha what a gesture, right?:P

  • @998sam just do what he does, say the word quarantine the spell it out loud and in once you've spelt it correctly say the word again

  • where's the fuckin BLUEPRINTS!

  • shomalleebluprnts, shomalleebluprnts, shomalleebluprnts

  • 3 people didnt see the blueprints

  • I have this exact same problem and I can't figure out how the hell to stop

  • that must have sucked having OCD back then......I don't think it was as main stream an illness as now

  • I've known people with OCD....decaprio "nailed it"

  • jamie foxx did a good job in ray but i think leo should have won the oscar

  • In my opinion a brilliant film and Leonardo Di Caprio was great in it.

  • where is his oscar ? he should get one for all the hard work he does

  • So do they show him all the blueprints?

  • this made me Leo's fan

  • Hahaha OMG I could totally see Arnie Grape in Leo again in this scene xD

  • lol, was he suppose to say 'show me all the blue prints or was he suppose to say something else but all he could think to say was show me all the blue prints?

Leonardo Dicaprio is a AWSOME actor, I agree with you all. He should have won an Oscar!<3

  • this scene is not recomended to watch many times, it can affect you start doing this, and all because of his great acting

  • i cant imagine how hard that would be to act that particular part of the script, yet leo does it so fluently. that's on par with any Oscar winner.

  • legal o filme so que é divicio achar o resto dele

  • Spellbinding performance.

  • all the blueprints! all of em!

  • The best part was when he asked to see the blueprints.

  • hes sooo fucking amazing!! Id love to show him my bluprints... I love LEO

  • Show him the blueprints already!

  • Why do you suppose he was laughing at the very end of this clip? What was the artistic message of that?

  • definently Tourettes Syndrome also.

  • @yjadalyn1 It's OCD

  • show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints show me all the blueprints
  • PICK UP THE MILK

    PICK UP THE MILK :)

  • i love how leo's blue eyes really stand out in this movie =]

  • Comment removed

  • Oh God, how sad!

  • WOW !!

  • Show me all the blue prints! how can somebody drive themselves to mental insanity as such

  • @homepl8 its not mental insanity he had OCD and was a germaphobe, he also had panic attacks

  • @grosserne sadly the soul within himself caused his OCD

  • @homepl8 Huh?

  • I put the milk in one hand and drink it with the other

  • Fire him !

  • even though I have a totally different type of OCD than the one portrayed in this movie I really felt what he was feeling. Anxiety and OCD is fundamentally the same in the way it makes people feel even if the OCD type is different. I never saw this movie but now I want to see it!

  • Maybe someone should show him all the blueprints?:P

    Excellent movie, great performance!

  • @mommywhereisdaddy

    Not a bad idea :-)

  • owned BY OCD

  • q-u-a-r-a-n-t-i-n-e

  • Don't think he got the message about the blueprints :(

  • He should have won the Oscar!

  • I liked the part when he said "Show me all the blueprints".

  • You know how hard it is to say that line over and over? I tried it and for me it was a complete tongue-twister!

This movie was beautifully composed and drawn together. If it didn't get four stars, it should. :)

  • DiCaprio is a great actor, but this is not a good portrayal of OCD, coming from someone who lives with it...or a good portrayal of Howard Hughes, coming from a relative. Loved the film though...even with its flaws.

  • there are different types of ocd

  • so your a relative of howard hughes and you have OCD, well the relative thing is bullshit and your not fooling anyone and there are many kinds of OCD.

  • Comment removed

  • It's touching that this raises awareness and makes people more sympathetic of those who suffer from OCD. Leonardo DiCaprio is a shining star.

By the way, yes, I too have compulsive habits.

  • Oh, I think FreedInsanity answered it for me, didn't scroll down far enough.

  • What kind of disorder would make him do that. I know he was really obsessive compulsive, but what's with the repeating himself? Schizo?

  • no its OCD. he repeats it over and over with the aim of saying it just right. each time it comes out it doesn't sound perfect enough.

  • lol ...so did he show him all the blueprints?

  • Man this guy s fuked up.

  • His aggressive, strong-willed nature - usually directed towards aviation and film-making - enhanced his obsessive-compulsive behavior far beyond typical cases.

  • i didnt see the movie yet, why is he doin that?

    is he sick?

  • he has ocd

  • nice video kiddo

  • so to recap...the blue prints, show them to me.

  • Leonardo is such a great actor, it is off the charts. unreal, talent.

    bt

  • They need to have a movie starting Leo, De Niro and Pesci all together.

  • and edward norton

  • 1:19 fantastic moment. It's so flawless.

  • Show me all the blue prints.

  • Show me the blue prints. I'm serious now.

  • showmealltheblueprintsshowmealltheblueprintsshowmealltheblueprintsshowmealltheblueprintsshowmealltheblueprintsshowmealltheblueprints!!!

  • lol show me the blue prints!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is funny in the movie, but in real life OCD is really sad

  • I don't find it funny even in the movie. you find it funny?

  • The first time I saw the movie i could not help but think it was funny.

  • this film is dramatic, not funny.

  • I didn't see this movie and when my brother one night randomly said "Show me the blueprint," I laughed and thought what the hell? However, when I saw it finally (two days ago) I didn't laugh at all! It's such an intense moment. "Way of the future" though is the most chilling scene of the whole film.

  • Weird how you said that 3 months ago...and it actually came true...While its not about Huges...but he is making a Sci-Fi movie that has something to do with people's minds (like memento and insomnia) starring Leo DiCap.

  • great film, great film, great film...great...damnit!

  • damn dude. just show him all the blueprints! lol. Looooooooooooove this movie!

  • i m a little ocd aswell, and everytime i watch it i see the small tihngs in myself i keep doing by compulsion that i dont mean to do.

usually under stress, or if i m eating badly.

    as for leo,

de niro of our time, tainted by 1 bad film in titanic, otherwise,an outstanding career from an early age

  • It's a shame Leo did not get an Oscar for this role.

  • yes, he definetly deserved it. This role must have been dificult, acually any time an actor is portraying someone else it is very difficult. But I think this porformence was especially difficult, Hughes was a complex person, and the aviator was a very moving film.

  • @SKrizal : He totally deserved an Osacr for this!

  • @SKrizal yea this reminds me of how good he actually was in this movie

  • I love this film & Leo!

SHOW ME ALL THE BLUEPRINTS! LOL

  • thats really sad. i feel so bad for those who actually have it in real life. how hard it must be for them. he did a real good job portraying a dude w/OCD tho. gotta hand it to him........

  • OCD is a werid thing. Im 15 and have checked symptoms for it and taken a few tests. I believe I have a minor case of it, but its growing all the time. My guess is by the time im 30 it could be pretty bad. Right now I would consider it just an annoyance. I can become obbsessive about symmetry. Also if for example, I touch something cold with one hand, I touch it with the same spot on my other hand to "even it out". Yea, its weird and I dont understand it, and Hughes was a extreme case.

  • WTF !! I do that sometimes too.... Dude you got me scared now.

  • i know wa=hat you mean. i dont have ocd i know for a fact but when i sleep i make one muscle tight on my leg than i have to do the other to make it even lol. i dont know why i do it probably cause im not fully comfortable. but i can stop any time. it usually happens whne i'm bored

  • omg i do the exact same thing! my sis noticed it and started teasing me about it! lol! ya i never thought it might be a type of ocd.

  • @thecheesypig I have the same thing! I thought I was the only one, lol.

  • i do not like leo. well maybe i am warming up to him. but howard hughes is just way tight.

  • Man you guys said it exactly right. I go through things similar to this. It's so time consuming and emotionally tiring.

  • This scene and the entire movie in general was awesome not only as a film about Howard Hughes but about OCD as well. Though never having an extreme case of such, I understand Hughes's pain entirely! Something gets stuck in your head and you feel like you are doing something wrong or are a bad person unless you say or do things outloud a certain number of times. It's crazy, but sadly true.
