both films understate the victimization of the boy, who in the book is overweight and in many ways much more gross in his habits, but I have to say I like the Swedish version best, was maybe the best film I saw that year. was excited the were making US version, but I missed its release and did not find out it was even released until 2012 since it was not successful

I’m sure you know what it was called and that it wasn’t French, but you’re trying to make us look like dumb assholes who haven’t seen your prized European movie. Well I have seen both versions and I can honestly say that LMI is superior to LTROI in every conceivable way. Does that mean I am biased or dislike subtitled movies? No!
