  • Its sad we will never see this, stupid super powers of the world want to use underground and above ground transit systems instead of super sonic vtols :( they plan to build bridges that go across the ocean, underground trains ect :( Now we wont have a chance to create a new space shuttle :(

  • Very nice. And have you seen this other EADS concept plane ?

    .youtube.com/eadstv#p/c/E2CF0F65A3AF26B1/9/3fHy-i_IOwA

  • AND it's not zero emissions. Seems like they got this one all wrong. Or they just gave it a cool name to get other stupid people interested.

  • How can these people making a passenger plane have any credibility when they say it's hypersonic but only goes to mach 4? I sure don't want to fly in it if it's designed by stupid people.

  • Zero emission ? Yes because it's liquid propellants (hydrogen + oxygen) motorized, plus it will land thanks to two traditional turbojets functioning with algocarburants !

  • Greetings.

I am looking for a company or university interested in this technology.

    Saludos.

Estoy buscando una compañía o universidad interesada en esta tecnología.

  • i dont get it - what will be the fuel for it?

  • Firstly, shouldn't it be SUPERsonic transport? If it's not at least Mach 5, then it's not hypersonic.

At any rate, it looks fantastic; like a civilian Blackbird....but by 2050, the world will be a very different place -- as a concept however, it's beautiful, it's just a shame it couldn't exist now in today's world.

  • this music is feeling who is a contractor?

  • @empiryzm0 what????? speak normal english please

  • Who is a dj ? :P soundtrack :)

  • EADS vs Airstream Train

Hypersonic Zero Emission Transportation is possible only using Airstreasm Train technology:

    zeroemissiontranspotrtation.webs.com

Why does EADS waste Taxpayers money — and yes it is YOUR money that

EADS wastes — on such an unsustainable, overpriced, unreal concept?

Because Airbus wants to sell more of their aircraft.

They have to make it look as though their technology has a sustainable future.

  • What do you mean "drink up". I just frackin' ordered.

  • it sucks, is 1000 times better the project of bwb, that is zero emission, it is a huge expensive plane like concords, they want use france people money to make a plane for rich person that are less in the society. FRANCE GOV SUCKS, instead of invest on people and to better their condition, they censor internet and spend public money for make rich people to live better and arrive more faster than poor people!!!

  • I have discovered two more videos about ZEHST on this channel: youtube.com/user/EADStv

  • hypersonic requires chaos emeralds

  • Hypersonic is Mach 5-10.

    Did Not Do The Research

  • Man, that a/c seems like it's gona use more fuel than a B744 :|

  • can someone please make a plane with bigger windows!?

  • this looks rubbish.

  • Airplanes that only exist in computers can do anything. including fly at Mach4 on nothing but seaweed. In my computer, my bicycle can circle the world in 3 hours without even pedalling.

Seriously though, the SR-71 got so hot at Mach3 it took hours to cool down after landing. Whats this new plane going to be built of that outperforms titanium alloys and does not get hot?

3 seaweed engines successfully combined into one airplane?

EADS designers are smoking something, and it ain't seaweed!

  • @femanvate I think they would have figured that out if they would show the design at an airshow. There are things that can withstand higher temperatures than titanium alloys, such as the Space Shuttle's TPS. The SR-71 did not get that hot compared to the Space Shuttle, only about 300 °C. The X-15 rocket plane once achieved a speed of mach 6—it suffered damage but survived. The degree to which it will heat up depends partly on the altitude. It can be reduced with an active cooling system

  • such as that used in the nozzles of the space shuttle's main engines. Their exhaust was hot enough to melt them, but they were kept cool by fuel pumped through tubes in their walls.

After landing, the SR-71 could not be approached, because it was hotter than the inside of an oven, 300 °C (572 °F). If the ZEHST is built, it may need to be cooled at least around the door area before you can get out.

The temperature it reaches may also depend on the altitude. Lower pressure=less friction

  • @AlidiaGeorgen right before i read this, i leaned on my fucking left elbow, wtf

  • Bio-fuel is still a hydro-carbon fuel. It dumps just as much carbon in the atmosphere as fossil fuel. Burning bio-fuel is NOT considered zero emissions.

  • First plane made would be so flawed it would explode and kill every passenger. make a fucking car first than can run on hydrogen. One is not enough (the Honda clarity)

  • Mach 4= 2880 mph

  • God damn people are stupid, hydrogen by itself is highly flammable, same with oxygen thust creating an explosion, explosion = thrust, thrust = momentum and when you mix hydrogen and oxygen gases together you get water vapor, hence zero emission

  • @AjaxpuffNstuff its not zero emmisson like you said it emits water as a by product of the hydrogen oxygen reaction. Same thing happens with space shuttles when they take off they will create a large rain cloud.

  • Click on my name and I will destroy all of the gay annoying adds Youtube needs tostop these freaking spammers

  • the graph at 1:00 and the steap climb on the plane dont match..comon video editors do it better.

  • Is this fuel efficient? because the less time to destination isnt worth 10x the amount of exaust and co2

  • @xBrian6 What part of hydrogen and oxygen is carbon? The amount of exhaust is irrelevant; it's >what is in< the exhaust that is significant.

  • wishful thinking if they think running on h2o will achieve that speed

  • The concord is back :)

  • @AlidiaGeorgen holy shit I was learning on my left elbow on my desk!! How the fk did you know? <3

  • no thank you ill stick to peanuts and free beverages

  • 3c403c l300g67 020624 a4043 xnsjm

  • only 5 grand a ticket

  • Sound quality is shit... just like the stuff all the spammers on YouTube keep advertising in the comments.

  • paris to tokyo in 2.5 hrs WTH!

  • 2050 fucking hell!!!

  • 12t u38u 465sc8a 731881

  • 2 hours to japan.... shizzle my nizzle

  • i dont like the Ipad in the video.

  • I had to listen twice but yeah he said ZERO emissions, how is this possible?

  • What's the speed at Mach 4?

  • @EPTXgamer Mach 4 is 3073.2 mph at standard conditions at sea level.

  • @EPTXgamer 4000 +

  • @thelovehasbeengiven amen to that! But now days on YouTube, the majority of people are atheist !!! I'm going to sub u

  • @legsi104

They just said in the video that it would be 0 emissions, in other words, no gas.

  • There is no way this will happen in the near future. We have a problem with fat people on airplanes now, imagine them at mach 4. Everyone would die.

  • And this will be how environmentally friendly fuel-wise?

  • @whatsgoingonthen plus no one liked the concord breaking the sound barrier every where. the zehst flys to high for that to be a problem though

  • Zero emission huh? Those turbojets, rockets, and ramjets run on tears or dreams?

  • @Born2Snoboard10 No, probably Hyrdogen...

  • @Born2Snoboard10 hydrogen and oxygen i think, turns into rain. just like the space shuttles use. at least i think

  • @Born2Snoboard10

The rocket engines, powered by hydrogen and oxygen whose only exhaust is water vapour.

  • @Born2Snoboard10 Tears is pretty close, actually. Probably a lot less ions though lol. However, my knee-jerk reaction is also one of skepticism with regards to hydrogen-powered turbojets, and such pissy ones too, considering you would have to accelerate a massive amount of liquid-fuel bulk to takeoff speed with similarly pissy little wings providing very little lift at low speed.

  • @Born2Snoboard10 Seaweed

  • @Born2Snoboard10 seaweed, actually

  • @Born2Snoboard10 Rather, Biofuel

  • @Born2Snoboard10 seaweed actually :) not joking :D

  • @Born2Snoboard10 They run on hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen + Oxygen = Water. Are you afraid of too much water being emitted into the atmosphere?

  • @Born2Snoboard10 every thing is posible for a grate humans mind ;)

  • @Born2Snoboard10

Yo ass jockey, how about some research before being a smartass, you must be from California, fucking tree huger. Being one you should already know that hydrogen and oxygen pollute so so much.

  • Comment removed

  • @Born2Snoboard10 It's called science. Hydrogen and Oxygen biofuels emit H2O.

  • @Born2Snoboard10 seaweed. They run on seaweed.

  • @Born2Snoboard10 or hydrogen ...

  • @Born2Snoboard10 The Rockets run on hydrogen and oxygen which it doesn't take a genius to work out make.... you guessed it water! O yeah and it uses biofuel to take off.

  • Because concorde was so successful?

  • why would i fly on this when i can get on my flying car

  • @oakcliff621 oh wait...

  • so much fantasy out there

  • we have the technology sat there in front of us why wait fucking 40 years to build it fucking bullshit if you ask me

  • So - how much gas would this eat up? By the time this is developed, will there even be oil left?

  • Well ... Airbus say they will have passenger jets with see through cabins by the year 2050... if thats the best they can do in 40 odd years of development then this Zehst must be 3 maybe 400 years of production... gay why even bother releasing this =/

  • have it drive paris from japan in 30 min and ill be impressed...

  • How is it a Zero emission vehicle when burning bio-fuels releases emissions? How fast would it fall apart if one of those widely spaced engines died and cause the plane to yaw at Mach 4?

  • @MrGAPerry the "zero emission' thing comes from the hydrogen based fuel cells for the boosters and ramjets - the turbojets that do require biofuel, for take off as well as the small amount their used for landing as well, are just a small fraction of the total flight; the turbo jets are not even used to accelerate the plane beyond mach 0.8. As far as a catastrophic event at mach 4.... well... the plane would still make it to London, at least pieces of it.

  • Does it come with an ashtray an cup holders?

  • what about the mothefuckin G forces?

  • @AKALBO47 Anti-sneeze medicine will prevent G-Force incidents.

  • @MrGAPerry how exactly?

  • so...we will still have cramped seats...nothing new about this.

  • are they sure that they wanna start in Tokoy?

  • zero emission when it has 2 turbojets, 3 rocket engines and 2 ramjets...

i'm sorry this is not going to happen

have fun trying to break the laws of physics :)

  • @shirnia will use biofuel from algea :)

  • Looks likes a rip off of the Blackbird and NASA's concept of a ramjet plane. Anyone can make a concept and say what it will do. There's a reason why the Concord failed and it only flies 2x the speed of sound.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah and how does it fly?

  • meanwhile in Japan, gundams are being built.

  • hola como esta

    wwqfwqfqwfqwfdwdwqefwefwef

  • hola como esta

    wwqfwqfqwfqwfd

  • hola como esta

  • Cruise altitude of 32,000m (105,000ft) corresponds to time of useful consciousness of less than 9 seconds.

So this animation depicting passengers wearing regular business suits looking out of standard sized airliner windows is not very likely. But requiring passengers to wear pressure suits sounds so dangerous...

As usual, the issue is more about market acceptance than about technology.

  • the French will have one and ruin it for us all again :-)

  • Tokyo to London in less than 17 minutes? the video is not very clear.

  • And will cost 50000usd....

  • WOW YOU GUYS ARE SO SMART IT ONLY TOOK 50 YEAR TO SOME overpaid JACKASS HAVE THE IDEA OF USING A Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird IN TO COMERCIAL FLIGHT.

  • It's practically the same design as the black bird. Obviously it's going to go fast. They practically took an army air craft and made it into a plane

  • Pfft this is nothing i got a razor that does mach 6.

  • It's a freakin' SR-71!

  • @PetraAnimations CoD fanboy gtfo, they're out of commission and are almost 40 years old

  • To all those saying this is old bla bla.

The Problem is not to built such an airplane, even one with mach 10 could be built.

But having one that flies to a reliable price for the passenger is.Taking in account all the money for invention and the fact that these jets never get produced in large numbers like an Airbus A330 or Boing 747.

Why you think ONE B2 Bomber is worth $2.87 billion?

  • looks like a modified SR-71 black bird nothing new

  • @auriga9999 Except this plane actually carries passengers.

  • @auriga9999 Except that blackbird was leaking highly posionous fuel while on the ground. This one will not.

  • This is nothing- check out the video animation of my new air/spacecraft that can fly to Mars and back in under 24 hours.

I'm currently on the hunt for investors, so don't miss out on this golden opportunity!

  • @SuperTruth77 Hopefully your investors check out your other posts jackass.. Like the one where you claim to father a child with a deployed soldiers wife. Good luck with your funding there skippy

  • wonder how much it's going to be?

  • Basically it's a concorde 2, But smaller and a extra rudder...

  • mkxb8np 6gw1eb pg8g kb74

  • Well isn't this like Concord all over again?

Concord was really really noisy that was the main issue did they eliminate the sonic bang or something?

  • @graffitiphat the concord was old, simple as that. not efficient and expensive to maintain. and playnes like that go super sonic many miles downrange and on altitude from the airport.

  • 8 minutes tokyo to london thats faster than concorde

  • We already have Jet's that go mach 4.. I don't understand why it hasn't gone commercial yet.. We've had the technology forever... Oh wait.. Capitalism - thats' why! =]

  • meh..

  • a little explanation would be appreciated

  • @judoisoww Zehst would use three different propulsion systems. The aircraft would take off powered by two turbofans and undertake a steep climb reaching around Mach 0.8 at which point two rocket boosters would kick in to propel the vehicle to Mach 2.5 at which point two underwing ramjets would kick in to reach speeds above Mach 4. Cruising altitude would be just above the atmosphere. The aircraft would glide during decent, with the turbofans powering up again in the final stage of flight.

  • I can make an animation of a zero emissions plane as well.

    Doesn't make it possible...

  • it looks abit like the Aurora that never happened... you know, the one that didnt even have any pictures?

  • homosexual and missleading

  • I wouldn't want to fly in a plane that keeps going transparent like that...

  • @Sanderr90 Well, Airbus has plans of a plane being transparent, it's crazy

  • well i doubt this will every fly to australia so fuck my life.

  • For a company that can supposedly make a plane that goes at 4x the speed of sound, they sure make real shitty animations

  • @SgtTwinkleToes i was your first like.

  • @SgtTwinkleToes

more time to engage in developing the efficiency/speed and safety.

  • @SgtTwinkleToes they spent all thje money on the plane :)

  • Come on! It's 2011! The NEW Mach 4, was yesterday's Mach 10... use SCRAM JETS!

  • @doceigen

Hydrocarbon scramjet can go Mach6+, Hydrogen scramjet can go even faster theoratically, Mach10+, even to space when coupled with rocket engine

However the development of scramjet is still full of difficulties. Les than a week ago the second X-51A Waverider failed

  • fake and gay

  • @tripedoutunicorn Are you really?

  • @unkiemonk ouch that 1 cut deep never get over i might go kill myself now thanks

  • sr71 ready for deployment

  • 762w s5y u26m4uj jx35g0

  • Oh yes, id love to sit next to hydrogen and oxygen tanks on an airplane.

What could possibly go wrong. :D

  • @Banez1991 it doesn't say if the rocket engines are liquid fueled or solid fueled. if solid fueled, it wouldnt have liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen tanks. it would make more sense to have solid fuel rockets as they are much lighter. downside: less control can't be switched off once started.. its probably as bad! i wouldnt want to get on this thing!

  • Concord had sex with a blackbird.

  • You aint got no pancake mix!

  • cool story bro

  • I'm having doubts, the maintenance and insurance would cost the company a king's, queen's ransom and Einsteins brain.

  • pretty kool... i'd stumbled onto this video...

    nice video...

  • K, so we know planes can go fast. Cool, but whatever. We know that rick people can afford to fly in tiny jets... right, k. What *I* want to know is how the fuck do you make a zero emissions jet? That's the important part. Forget how fast it can go or how rich you'd have to be to get a ticket.

  • @tSp289 forget a jet. show me how to make a zero emissions spanner.

  • Can i please buy a ticket on this plane

ok that would be 1 million dollars

    what the fuck?

  • @SxYBicH3S Lmfao...so true.

  • concept..but will it come out??!!!??? That is the question I wanna know!!

  • hmmm all white people riding a black airliner....

  • Does the still detect me if i have ghost pro?

  • a commercial SR 71, awesome :D

  • is there a chance the track would bend?

  • I'm still waiting for my hover car!!

  • white are all the people white

  • im sorry but the interior looks pretty shitty just like a Delta airlines plane, PTV's really? at least make it futuristic and add some PC tablets or ipads! it will be better if the windows would be bigger too it will create less fatigue!

  • @MadridHopper005

well considering its just a simulator and not the final product, Im sure the interior isnt the first thing they are worried about, creating the commercial plane/engine to go that fast would be their first priority.

  • @0:44 Passenger: "Oh, this is my stop...lets see, push this button... and the plane lands"... brilliant

  • Comment removed

  • @onlyonetigger but with rockets! so its better! and somehow.. zero emissions... <_<
