what kind of film do you need specifically

[WilliamRayWalters]

@insanezy You can use35mm film or slide film, there are probably others. The easiest to obtain is 35mm film. Like I said in the description, try to find some old negatives and look for the very dark blank parts toward the ends. Or you can just buy a new roll and tell the guy you want it developed for a project and that you know it will produce blank pictures. You can even tell him you only need the negatives.

@insanezy No nightvision necessary. All you need is a phone that registers IR light hitting it's sensor. Just turn the phone's camera on, point your tv remote at it, and press a button on the remote. If you see the light light up when looking through the phone camera then it will work. Some phones work better than others. This has no real practical use other than being pretty cool, as the effect is not that strong. You really need a sunny day to provide a lot of IR light.
