This is a cool piece. Have you seen anything from the late Dr. Lockwood? He was the father of the valveless design and had some nice models. He worked with Hiller Helicopter long ago and mounted jet tips on the end of the rotors. Cool stuff.
The narrow gas tube from the supply tank extends only a very short distance into the flared intake pipe, maybe 3mm. The flared intake pipe is flush to the internal surface of the conical combustion chamber.
