I use Pikachu a lot, and I only ever use thunder when I've combo'ed somebody to the top of the screen. It's a beast finisher for that.

They should've given Pikachu the same moves that Ash's Pikachu has: Iron Tail (down b), Thunder Bolt (b), Quick Attack (up b), and Volt Tackle (side b). His FS could've been Super Volt Tackle or something like that.

pikachu is by far the best chacter in this game. When ur doing challenges against 8 enemies and they come one at a time, go at the very top center where they spawn and keep using the thunder thing. they will die instantly on any difficulty. it is awesome

pikas final smash is not impossible to control...instead of holding the tilt trying to control it, tap the tilt in various directions and u can easily see where it goes and control it

@ThePoketrainer14 its not even the best move. down and up smash are amazing, down smash can interrupt a lot of moves too. the only time I use thunder is when they're above me and trying to jump over. event hen, Ill only use it once or twice a match when theyre at a high percentage. it wont kill them if theyre too low and you dont want them to expect it by doing it too much.

its also super annoying so I avoid it for that XD

dude i think pikachu is the best character in the game cause his down A is kinda like another smash attach since its so powerful, he's fast and recovers great too. though the best thing is that you can get an easy kill if u use ur down B attack when some1 is above you far in the air cause it will hit them up even more giving u a KO. i have done that against guys with only 30% damage

Most of the Pikachu I've ever trained a female,and I'm pretty sure Ash's Pikachu is female. But these Pikachu are not Ash's,so they could be Pikachu,but it would be better if people called them "it".

Ash's Pikachu us male.  If you watch the beginning of Princess vs. Princess, the announcer says something like, "...but if you're a male, you have to carry packages!" Then, Ash, Brock, and Pikachu are shown carrying Misty's purchases. Also, the Pikachu one uses in the ssb series doesn't have the notch in its tail that all female Pikachus have. I agree with your last comment, though...Volt Tackle should be much easier to control.

with sonic, its easy to hit your oppoenets, but its relativily weak, and can only kill when they're offstage, or ur above about 80% damage(although I survived a direct hit when I was a 140%. I slammed into my teamate, and I survived.

I think I got some of it, but to control pikachu, when you first activate the FS it is best to move to one side, and figure out the rate of change, so you can adjust your timing accordingly. it does take practice to master pikachu's FS, and when someone does, you most likely will die if pikachu starts the fs and your damge is over 30.

I'd go with pikachu. Ive used both, and ive gotta say, pikachu is better. Yeah, diddy is fast, but his recovery BOUNCES off walls. One misfire and you're gone. Pikachu's is alot easier to use, and he can skull bash!

Guys, pikachu's final smash is actually very easy to control only on very smash stages, the skill is dont move it, it will move around freely like the number 8, and for those of you that didnt know, the secret to the final smash is to press A everytime its charged up, if you dont understand, just spam A everytime your using your final smash, hope this helps :D

I've noticed somethin' about brawl... i haven't tested this out for other cpu's yet, but i did test it with pikachu. unlike in melee, level 9 cpu's (you'll notice it the most with pikachu) overuse they're moves. i went against a level 9 pikachu, and it used thunder at LEAST 30 times

I'm not a fan of the anime, but I know that pikachu was chosen as the flagship of pokemon merchandise mainly because of the anime. My backup lies in the earlier games. Pokemon yellow, for instance, was the first to have pikachu as a main character, and that was released due to the popularity of the anime. Hence the restyling of Jessie and James as the villians. Therefore, there is much evidence to support the view that the modern game pikachu was influenced by the anime. Score!

You just have to do move the control stick lightly, assuming you use the Gamecube controller. I'm not sure how it would work with the wii remote alone or whatever. Also, you can take advantage of it when it slows down if you can't control it.

Like burgers said, if Pikachu's Final Smash is praticed, it is the probably the best final smash on the game. Played in 4 player mode and you have about a 90% auto-win.

Typhlosion :D with flame wheel, flamethrower, fire blast and quick attack( harming quick attack)... and An Eruption for final smash :D should have mega punch/dynamicpunch , firepunch/thunderpunch , double-edge of course, crush claws, swift and don't forget double-kick... a big headbutt, and strength throwing move :) the flamethrower should trap like charizard but at the end of the move when it stop, a medium knockback ^^

It looks like the Quick Attack move has gotten harder to control. I personally was best with Pikachu, Roy, Link, Mewtwo, and Zelda. My dad got the game for me, and i get it as an easter present.
