damn I bet that thing is too fast for its own good, My brother once had a mini and dropped a 2ltr redtop into it but there was too much power and the engine mounts kept on stretching. I wonder how a mini would perform with a Clio Williams engine in?? :O

I've got a 1987 Mini Cooper. At the moment it's got a 1.3 austin engine (i think). I'd like to know how much it would cost to convert the engine bay and necessary linkages to be able to accomodate a red top engine, or if there are any other alternatives. Thanks :)

That vid minds me of summer 08, i took the 1300 outta my Mini and put a Redtop in (i was the fastest bastard at my school until i left this year) it was from a wrecked mk2 escort rally car, im still tweaking it here n there, altogether the conversion costed £450, that was 4 engine, i made it fit, made the subframe, etc. BTW any1 know where 2 find a mk1/2 escort estate, i want 2 put my RB26DETT Skyline engine in 1

My mate had one went to the scrapyard not long ago so your out of look. Was a fine car until we accidently went over the top and blew the clutch.

i love it man.. i was able to put a 2.0 ltr turbo calibra turbo in a nova gsi shell and i got it to 4 wheel drive thanks to a Shaft to the rear diff :D its a serious car.. Smokes most cars on take off :D
