Both Siberian and Norwegian Forest cats are good house cats. Both breeds are very caring and loyal, and and while they take a little to warm up to a new person, they get quite intimate after a while and enjoy human contact a lot.

They *might* bring you a mouse in tribute every now and then, though the one I had put them on the front step, instead of into the house. Though not all of the ones I have had did that. I reckon it's a personal trait, rather than a racial one.

They do get fairly big, and it would be best if they have the opportunity to get outside as well.

A breed that will probably be more familiar to you, is the Maine Coon, it has much the same needs as the Siberian forest cat. Yes, they can live indoor, but it's good if they can get out every now and then as well.

Our Siberian is (guessing, she found us, someone threw her out ) about 7 or 8 months old, and we had no idea how big she was going to get as an indoor cat.
