I love the cross cultural references - the English Empire vision of a Sari (2:10), elements of Indian design, & Russian motifs (particularly fabulous to reference). While these groups may never exist in complete harmony, fashion can certainly unite disperate people; this collection provokes an deeply emotional response.

I wish Tim Blanks would choose people with more substantial comments for his interviews. I also believe McQueen fell victim (again!) to the Reitman's parodies (here in Canada).

This is an amazing collection! So original and gorgeous!!!!!!!!! Gosh darn. The last red dress reminds me of Queen Amadala. But if people liked this collection you may like Christian Dior's Spring 2007 couture collection which is more oriental and also beautiful.

Some are undoubtedly special order pieces - some may be considered couture. The couture pieces are kept under a case in some of his larger stores. Many of the pieces are available on his website, though! The appearance of couture, but with a lovely accessibility.
