Russians did a great job kicking the ass of the German nazzies. Let alone defending their own country - just to tell about Stalingrad battle - the bloodiest battle in the world and Russians stood like a wall. We should tell THANKS to them. But after defending themselves and kicking asses of nazzies, they could have returned home to celebrate the victory. How do you suppose Russians would have retreated leaving to the new enemies captured territories? Besides these facts many countries deserved the occupation like Germany, Austria or Romania.
