Then another follow up then suggested that Lewis could go on after the agenda, of which case he was not able to stay for the duration due to prior obligations. But the second proposal was an attempt at a compromise, the initial and debating platform was based on the assumption of the first guy, of which he won out, and thus his assumptions were prevailing.

I went to the first Occupy meeting where I live. It was dominated by the loudest, most arrogant people there who monopolized the podium. They rejected working with university students, people who drive volvos or mercedes, because those folks were too "rich" to be trusted. They seemed most interested in civil disobedience or physical confrontation with the police.
I don't want the fringe radicals to co-opt this movement. I also don't want the Democrats to hitch their wagon to it.

I'll put a definition hear for you: Consensus decision-making is a group decision making process that seeks not only the agreement of most participants but also the resolution or mitigation of minority objections.

So he was denied from speaking to keep everyone the same, on the same level, that ideology with that form of equity comes from branches of marxism. Listen to the reasoning (or lack thereof) on the video where they are trying to develop a "consensus", listen to what they say, and it's underlying assumptions.

Then another follow up then suggested that Lewis could go on after the agenda, of which case he was not able to stay for the duration due to prior obligations. But the second proposal was an attempt at a compromise, the initial and debating platform was based on the assumption of the first guy, of which he won out, and thus his assumptions were prevailing.

The "moderator" (so-to-speak) said that since they didn't have consensus they would have to wait until after they have gone through with the rest of their agenda first (which is the procedure they had set in place.) John Lewis could not stay that long of course and left.
