These were first produced for the CBS network run starting in 1965, and continued into the early 1970s. The syndication came in the early 1980s with only a few of these included. When I was at MGM I asked what happened to the other intros and bumpers and they said they couldn't locate the Master tapes to them, and they didn't want the expense of re-transferring the film elements. So that is why the syndicated versions had the same intro and only a few of the bumpers.

The real thing why I loved this program on TV is because when I was a kid, all the time I laughed when Tom hit an Ironing Plank, and actually took it's form, as in slamming the plank on it's side and then stretching all out and stuff, I also loved it in an episode where Jerry hit Tom with an ironing iron, and his head took the shape lol, that's mainly why I love T&J.

Man the Chuck Jones era of Tom and Jerry was nothing more than a Looney Tunes knockoff. It really ruined the greatness of T&J. The love and real like quality of the two was completely lost in the 60s. They became freaks and were really strange. Jones should be ashamed.
