Anyone please feel free to correct me because I'm not military (however I am studying for the AFAST) to be a mechanic is probably the age limit to enlist 42. Being a Black Hawk mechanic is pretty cool I believe the MOS is 15T they call them Crew Chiefs and when the Hawk flies you go with them in the back as the door gunner and assist the pilots when landing spotting obstacles, ect.
Yes, after flight school the top of the class gets to choose his location and airframe. Of course this is dependent on the current needs of the military. Your class may only have the UH-60 as a choice or maybe you'll get AH-64 too. It all depends.

They just raised it to 33 years old. If your currently in the military I've heard of waivers for age.
