I am returning to my old art in my old age-and watching this video was so enriching; Each little jewel has such attention to details and unusual touches. I swear that I got deeper into each, along with your excellent comments. Just a perfect vid with such casually presented ideas that turn into very special pieces of art. I do like that you leave a tad of the mystery here and there by not revealing all. LOVE that mermaid, but all are special.
The company that makes those little hanger has gone out of business. I just did a class that I needed them but had to end up making them myself. I sell them in my etsy shop donnagoss.etsy.com you get 6 in a package for $9.00. Usually the hangers are like $2.50 or a piece. Mine do not have the little tag in the middle but otherwise they are very similar. Love your videos. Your very talented. Keep up the great work.
love love love... very nice. i like to make my own backgrounds too. i have only bought 2 packs of decorative paper and havent used one page. i just seem to draw a blank. ha! it is easier for me to make my own background. ;)
Love your work. Can you tell me what webb site to access vintage pictures like the tag you did of the little girl. I love old pictures. And you are very talented and I love your videos. Fantastic.
@nickki64053 Many of the pictures I use are from Paper Whimsy (dot com), other places to look are Lisa's altered Arts and Etsy. Hope that helps. Hugs, Rachel
I just wanted to add that I am decorating my livingroom in a ocean theme and started to do a wall of mermaid art. I have done a few peices but yours is absolutely stunning.
Oh, please please, please, I would love to see a tutorial on the mermaid collage. I have been trying to make some myself and get stuck for inspiration and just seeing yours gave me lots of ideas. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for ALL of them - especially your tutorials!
One quick question however, how do you get your cards stock so flat? I find that when spraying and inking they tend to wrinkle and warp. Thx again for your help.
All of your projects are so pretty! You are so talented! They blow my mind away. I am so inspired by all your art work! Thank you for sharing these with us! Coleen
Absolutely beautiful! Please make some video tutorials! Try Stampington Co.'s website for those metal hangers. They sell a lot of unique items for mixxed media projects. They are a set of six for $14.95. They're in California, U.S. though so I don't know if that will help ya or not. Thank you for sharing!
@rjtnews You can use Alcohol inks on regular paper, but they behave in a similar way to dye inks and will not blend very well if used directly. I often use them on regular paper by dropping the inks onto a non stick craft sheet with some blender solution, then sweeping the paper down onto them to pick up the ink - gives a lovely marbled effect, obviously works with glossy too.
These are beautiful. You truly have this wonderful inner talent that comes out in your work. Extremely creative. Love the vintage styles, that is my fancy as well! Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Susan
