Je sais bien, mais je voulais dire par là que ce n'est pas du "hochdeutsch"!:-)ça se prononce effectivement "schèèèn"(hmpf!) pas schön à l'allemande c'est tout!

Un peu comme si tu disais que le napolitain c'est de l'italien; c'est sûr que c'en est mais sacrément modifié quand même!:-)

Leo Marjane was a great singer with an impeccable French diction, she had many great songs! Did you know Zarah Leander recorded the song in Swedish also in 1938? Not many people know this or her version of the song.

I just realized there's a pun in the word popcorn as I used it--the "popular" equals the "corny." But the word corny may be as passe as the Andrews Sisters. How about pop-schlock (or schloch) for a more international word?  Pass the butter, prosze.

Amazing to hear this in French! I grew up with the Yiddish version as sung by my grandparents. The Andrews Sisters version never impressed me: typical 1940s popcorn.
