Is that the real afterburner effect or did you edit that? I have the Coral F15J on FSX and the afterburners don't look anything close to that.

FSX I think. Possibly FS2000. Understand, it is not a combat game. The guns and missiles are effects added by the movie creator. This game is simply flying for flying's sake.  I recommend Falcon 4.0 for a combat sim. Lock On and it's expansion pack, Flaming CLiffs, are also highly recommended for multiplayer capability.

It looks like he is using a Mask, so it is an effect. After Effects or just an cut - in video. This is possible in Sony vegas at example.
