It's ridiculous to make such a huge deal about this! I agree that Ted Haggard violated the moral values of his church, as well as his marriage vows, but it's a gross exaggeration to view his actions as abuse. Both of the men whom he had dalliances with were consenting adults, and one of them was in it for money. These weren't helpless innocents. All three of them are adult males who have made their own choices and should take responsibility for them.

Ted Haggard is still abusing Grant! Listen to how he berates Grant for not "forgiving" the people who fucked with his head.

Ted also constantly plays on Grant's misplaced guilt about the situation to try and manipulate him into keeping quiet--even though it's obvious that keeping Ted's secrets has been psychologically harmful to Grant.

Is it just me or does Ted talk in circles? Everytime he speaks I find myself getting confused. I can only imagine how much confusion goes on in HIS head!
