Lol you sound so shocked that the BMW won. Even a Road Runner with a 426 HEMI and a 4 speed would hardly do high 13s @ 100 mph in stock form. The motors were ballsy but the cars were big and lacked technology in every way. The reason muscle cars are popular is because a ride in that Chevelle is much more exhillerating and nostalgic than a ride in the BMW. I have a friend with an original '70 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed stock besides a cam and he ran right around 14.0 @ 100 here in AZ.
im trading my 09 mustang in for 330ci to lower my payments. i think ill be a little dissappointed though with since it will be slower. bmw better overall though
