Thanks Alex - it's "Double G" (well that's what I call it) both the "E" and "A" strings are tuned to "G". Richard Thompson tunes his guitar CGDGBE but I find the 6th string tuned to "C" a bit too low for my liking.

Howdy Jim man you tore that song up the first time I ever heard that song was by Del he did it blue grass style when i heard the song it blew me away still dose but then i heard your cover, and heard RT doing it i think you even do it better than RT I have had a few British bikes 2 Triumphs 1956, 1962 both of these were bobber type choppers 1966 BSA Victor had Sportsters to 74,77,79 now i have a 1987 HD custom wide glide that i built 130 mph with plenty of throttle left it's a rocket Rich

and one at 55 on my way to Sturgis in 2006 that''s when a asshole put on a left turn signal and then made a right in front of me ,that's when i took a stock Heritage and created what I have now, by the way I rode out to Sturgis and back on the bike that got wrecked

Hi Peter - it's not universally well-known so would not have many takers; also it's not the easiest of songs to play so would have very limited appeal. I don't use tab, but there is a detailed breakdown of this song in tab here on the net. I'll try to track it down and give you the link if that would help. I could also put up a slow-mo video if you wish.

@Lowdenjim Hi, jim, I'm with Peter on this one; I love your version and would love a tutorial. A slowmo version would be good and perhaps some notes on the right hand picking pattern. Then I might be able to make a reasonable stab at it. Thanks for all your material - you're an inspiration.

... well if you want a "Vincent Black" Paul they are all in the US now as our UK roads weren't up to allowing their riders to notch past 2nd gear. You will need to find about 50 thousand bucks though!!
