  • I've got all six of these videos.

  • I seem to recall when the series was repeated in 1999, most of the episodes had the Central logo at the end. Even the ones produced and transmitted by Thames. There was one episode that had both logos at the end. Does anyone have any explanation as to why the Thames logo didn't get left in when the episodes were rerun?

  • ha ha! we english are so lucky, we have all the best comedies! i own every mr.bean episode on dvd, they are great!

i love the episode where he ties a chair to the top of his car!

  • i like this advert i do with lots of Mr Bean videos i only got the mr bean vol 1-5 Dvd Boxset my friend has got amazing adventures of mr bean the merry mishaps of mr bean he only wants exciting escapades of mr bean i just brought terrible tales of mr bean perilous pursuits of mr bean im stil looking for exciing escapades of mr bean Unseen Bean and final floics of mr bean in charity shops

  • Hi. Thanks for uploading this. I'm sure there was another version where they said "Enjoy the oddball world of Mr Bean".

Out of interest, does the Thames Video caption appear in full at the end of the video?

  • Yep, probably one of only few that had the full ident at the end, most just went to black or had a still then to black.

  • Hi. Thanks for your help. I used to have the Unseen one and that had the still at the end. I've only seen a couple of videos where it just went to black- an old Dangermouse video being one and the Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes video being another.

Sorry to ask another question, are there any TV company logos at the end of the video before the ident or does it go to black then to the logo?

  • Usually black to logo, they show the Tiger TV/Aspect ones, but on the VHS releases there are no Thames ones. Although on The Perilious Pursuits of Mr Bean, on the packaging, Mind The Baby Mr Bean is copyrighted to Thames and Central, which is the only time thta ever happened.

  • Hello again.

I don't remember seeing the Tiger TV/Aspect logos on any of the video releases.

Can you remember how the other Mr Bean videos ended. Am I right in thinking they all had a still at the end? The Unseen Bean video definatley ended like this but the Best Bits and Complete Collection videos had the full logo

  • I can't remember the last time I watched the tapes, but I think they all ended by just going to a still of the Thames Video ident and then to black. I think this was the only release that had the full ident at the end, which as you say wasn't common on most Thames Video releases.

  • Thanks for your help.

  • Over the last couple of weekends I've found some of these videos at car boot sales. One of the ones I got today(the yellow one) ends with the Thames Video logo in full. But it didn't have the Tiger Aspect logo at the end of the second episode.

  • I have always wanted to see this again!

    Thanks!

  • thx for this vid dude, but, could you plz upload the footage on the vhs tapes where he says things like,

"This one's a lovely, BLOOD COLOR!"

If you could upload it, or even tell me, plz do, thx

  • Oh yes I have that. I might upload it sometime.

  • Thanks so much!

    I would really appreciate it!

  • Oh my god, i haven't saw this since January 2001, when i gave it a loan of to my cousins in Ireland, still haven't got it back! Brings back good memories.

When was The Perilous Pursuits of Mr. Bean released?

  • The Perilous Pursuits (Yellow) was released in Autumn 1994, the Red and Blue tapes released 1991, Unseen in 1995 and Final Frolics in 1996. The Best Bits Of Mr Bean was 1996 also.

  • What about the Merry Mishaps?

  • I think late 1993, not sure when, but it was released at the same time as The Terrible Tales of Mr Bean. I only got Unseen, Final Frolics and The Best of as Christmas pressies when they came out at the time, the rest I bought later on in the 90s.
