@hunkymonkeykaine Thank you so much Ashley! Yes, I did teach him to bring the toy back, but it only took a few times of him realizing that if he brings it back he gets to play more. That was all it took as he LOVES to play with toys. I must have a way of building a toy drive that I am not 100% sure how I have taught it. haha! Bandit has the same toy drive. :) He is growing so fast. I am still taking my time training tricks with him as I want to focus on good solid manners! :)
What a fantastic dog. Do you have some points re: dropped bars? I'm feeling that I don't want to worry about them either, since I feel that if my dog has been properly schooled in HOW to jump, he's going to choose to jump OVER the bar. But I'd love to hear more about your point of view. It's a discussion that comes up fairly regularly with other agility trainers..
@hdsheena Well, since Twix is a puppy I am just not that worried. However, with my other dog Bandit, I practice at 22 inches and jump him at 20 inches in trials. I really wanted him to jump 16 inches preferred in trials, but he measured 22 1/4 inches and would have to jump 24 inches. So, I jump him preferred at 20in. I figure that if you practice at your jump height or slightly higher that in a trial drop bars would not be a problem. IMO. Take care!
Great job,Twix! I love the idea that once you stops, he will run over to you to the reinforcement zone. In this way, he will pay attention to you and this is important when you need him to run to another obstacle. :) I love your new video editor software. It is cool and beautiful! :)
GREAT WORK..loved it...fantastic control and direction training...all essentials before you get your dog running a full course...you are going to be an AWESOME team:)))

I really enjoyed this video of Twix:)! He has such a sweet personality and so much energy too!!
I like how he always brings the toy back to after each chase. Did you teach him to do that?
I am still amazed at how BIG Twix has grown. He is growing into such a handsome BC:).
