@theboss878878 And I grew up in Minnesota. Northern Minnesota. No, that wasn't much snow when we shot but it was the only chance I had to get running footage. A few hours later it accumulated to about 8 inches of snow and they don't plow the roads in Seattle. So the car did well even though the ground clearance isn't raised much.

This is the first video I've watched so far from this youtube channel. My thoughts, Tom is extremely professional and on point. I got a chuckle out of the comment about past Impreza's having a "drinking problem". I've never heard anyone put it that way and I liked that bit of humor thrown in. This was a great video; I will be watching more from this channel and I hope the rest of Tom's videos are just as excellent! In my opinion it's videos like this that earn subscriptions.

What was your observed mileage? I'm hearing 27/36 is only with the CVT.

@DrivenCarReviews ... True but the sedan version of the Lancer comes with AWD ( at least in Canada), and the so-called hatch verison doesn't have as much cargo space as the Impreza with the way the Lancer's hatch is designed.

Toyota Matrix is another AWD choice...I think it gets high 30's in mpg's as well.

Extremely boring butt, about as bad as on the VW Sportwagen. But thanks to Subaru for abstaining from horrendous fake-aluminum trim, I will take monochromatic black any day.

Great review. I think they look decent still. Not saying it needs 20s but maybe plus1 on the wheels and tires would make it look less cartoonish. I like this a lot even if its not a wrx. :)

Decent car. Ultra boring styling especially the rear. The taillights make it look cheap. Yuck! The interior is ok but dark and dreary. Subaru really struggles with exterior styling. They just cant get it right. Maybe one day!

I don't know why people slam this car. I think its a big improvement over the previous one. The only thing I liked better on the previous model was the rear fascia.

@silversteen9 That was the first video I've rented in months since I rarely ever have time to watch anything these days. Generally my wife gets our DVDs from the library which is free. Even better than Netflix. Also I like Blueray for the pic quality. Streaming video blows.
