He should sue the producers of the 1-877-KARS4KIDS radio ad. I just realized why I was humming this garbage dump song.... the Kars4Kids people totally ripped off Manson!!!
with a good production this man couldve tooken over the 60s and be more popular then the english beatles america invented rock music charles manson invented it
One of my favorite Charlie songs along with "Ego" and at least I have had luck finding them on YT. So Thanks for the upload, noticed that last year a ton of Charlie's songs were being removed from YouTube after being uploaded, for some reason. What I cant stand is that very little people know that this guy was actually a talented man, because he instead became well known ONLY as a notorious character all due to the Helter Skelter crap. And ppl were satisfied knowing only of that negative aspect.
@BlakkEyez01 Yeah, and Hitler painted a lot of pretty landscapes, but for some reason ppl seem to be fixated on the whole genocide crap. Oops. I guess mass murder is a little more important than folk music and water colors
@TheKuroiSheep Same here, along with EGO. I cant help but start singing them around people that think Im a freak already, so I enjoy giving them what they want- a singing freak aka me!
@BlakkEyez01: I'm not into Charlie's music to "freak" people out or for any type of shock value. I like his lyrics. They were very progressive and unheard of in their time. Plus, I can relate to them so well being a former squatter myself.
&to be honest people who listen to Charlie's music for value are just as bad as those who accused him of things he didn't do in the first place. Because they also believe he "killed" people. When he really did nothing but music and drugs back at the ranch.
@eatthelies138 Didnt know about the cover by GNR, thanks! I knew of the cover of Garbage Dump done by GG Allin and his band, which was kind of a drunken-punk-heavy sound probably done during a practice and simply recorded then bootlegged after GG's death in 1993.....Ill have to check out the GNR cover for sure now.
In my Quire class in the 10th grade we need to sing a song. using a instrument is optional. I know how to play Guitar so I sang this song. Its a great song. I wish Charles became a little more popular for his music and not his Violence. I do not even think he deserves a life sentence...
@breedome Great minds think alike, I just finished posting in a comment about an hour ago....about how its too bad that 1) hardly anyone knows Charlie ever wrote songs/played music, much less that he had actual talent 2) he ended up known instead in a "notorious" way, even blown out of proportion by the media and writers/interviewers adding some twists & turns to make it an interesting story, etc. He is in for LIFE, YET the ones who DID GO & KILL that night, almost all been released! I agree.
Bacon4Rashers The reason Charlie makes sense is he has always told the truth. the problem is he does not fit the norm only the tuned in can see what he is saying and make a rational judgment. I don't know how old you are but look back at what you have been taught look out your front door you will see sheep and robots. and then look at the guy down the street that makes all the noise the one everyone talks about. He knows but most can't figure it out Man. plastic bags will do.
You see your uncle george on the dollar and he sends his childran to war, I found them and fed them in my garbage dump
- be careful kids. this guy knows that your daddy left you. this guy knows that you ran away from home. this guy right here will say far out things to you and take you to death valley. you'll die alone there.
@damonfortune2 He didn't do anything. You know why you believe he did? Because Vincent Bugolosi has made millions from a book called Helter Skelter, the only way the women who did the crime will get sympathy is if they blame it on Charles, and Chuck is pretty content behind bars.
@BucksStudent So true. I think its pretty crazy that a book this country treated like a "Manual to Manson" and still does when they do any research on him, was written by a man who was totally against him but yet he got a firm grasp (or perhaps chokehold?) on America's beliefs from the start- and they bought it and swallowed it whole no questions asked, and hook line sinker etc. I dont care how "safe" & "accepted" one is by ALWAYS "thinking INSIDE the box" cos' Its definitely NOT for me.
@mikeomeara127 I know the GG Allin version is A#/F for the verse and D#/A# for the other part. It sounds pretty similar to the original. Might be a half step up.
That was actually why the tate house got raided, a music exec who disrespected him when they were invited to a party there, sadly by the time the incident went down a new couple had moved in and the sharon tate/unborn child and friends died instead.
Nobody can really say he did it cause he didnt go to the house , a bunch of girls will turn on a MFer once they sober up. Charlie had other things going, those chicks did the murder. They should let him do his time in a funny farm.
I agree the man obviously has psyschological issues due to the way he was treated as a youth,i agree he would be better in a nut ward, although i must say when ive seen his interviews he makes a hell of a lot of sense when he talks about the world and good and evil maybe its because hes unconventional and doesnt fit into a normal sterotype that we dont understand him.
Yeah its true, in his speach about the system. Where He starts by saying "Their sneaking their sneaking under doors, every bodys sneaking around sneaky ville" He says the truth is in your stock yards the truth iss in your gas chamber. You see your uncle george on the dollar and he sends his childran to war, I found them and fed them in my garbage dump."
that's wrong. due to different people charlie knew by the time of the slayings, that melcher (the producer) wasn't living there anymore. sorry for destroying yout myth.
@SidewaysBurnouts Wasn't it the son of Doris Day, Terry Melcher (sp?) who disrespected him? Yet in any info released by the "media" (the most believed and always trusted source of "news"- in the eyes of way too many, truly) all I hear is how Melcher was the intended target due to Charlie's overexaggerated rage, "all because he did nothing but turn Charlie's music down, respectfully". OH Im sure. *eyeroll* Like Charlie said, anyone who knows the garbage cans in the alleys knows Hollywood!

True but its no justyfication although i dislike what Charlie and his friends did i do feel he was treated unfairly in court.
Innocent or guilty everyone should have a chance to a fair trial and obviously he didnt get that.

but his brilliance shows through in a very abstract way. this is one of my favorite songs from the man too.
