thomas ran for over a 100 yards a game hes a great player but we was the first team of the season they playhes that kept him to 80 yrds and he didnt see the inzone!!
He may not have the size but he's got the power... look around 6:30 where he dives into another player near the endzone and pushes him back to fall into the endzone. He broke a lot of tackles mostly due to jukes and spins but also cause he's so strong.
I agree. I like Thomas much better than King as well. I think King is going to be a bust. He runs scared. While Thomas runs extremely hard and has some great moves.
I would say it is a toss up, Thomas, while being more explosive and faster in open space lacks the ability to help pick up the blitz, hence the numerous sacks on the day. King, however, has the ability to continually run solid and he has a damn good eye for the blitz and how to help the QB.
cant waite to see the power of samuel the balance of king this jitterbug thomas and dont forget about dontavius jackson is just as good. 09 season is going to be great
This guy can accelerate as fast or even faster than Knowshon, at least from my observations. He's not quite was elusive as Knowshon (but still quite elusive nonetheless), and I hear he is one of the front runners for the kick returning job.
I blocked for this kid scince we were in pop. Now I am at Florida State and he will be on of the best backs that I will ever have blocked for. Good luck Dude Rep Frostproof
Plus Richard Samuel. The 6'1 225 pounder who is faster in a sprint than Knowshon, Caleb, or Carlton. He is just not as shifty. Georgia has as much talent in the backfield as any college team since Bush/Leinart at USC.
This kid looks tough. He's super elusive, has a great burst and can turn it on downfield. I can see him and Richard Samuel having a good thing going in a few years with Carlton being a speedy, shifty back and Richard busting heads.
wow.. a special back he is. UGA is lucky to have snagged this one. in all honesty, i've been watching Antwan Ivey do pretty much the same stuff for the past few years in Newberry (also 2b). whatever school picks Ivey will be as lucky as well
this guy is great. its a honor to play with him From someone who grew up with him and played football with him he doesnt care about there being a million rb's a georgia he wants to win whether its on offense or special teams. and trust me. he deserve the credit he gets he rushed for over 200 on the number 5 ranked team in the NATION-Pahokee in our semifinal loss hes a great friend no trouble maker straight A student hard worker & i only wish the best for him while hes at Georgia
We don't really have "so many damn runnin backs!" Thomas Brown and Kregg Lumpkin graduate this year, so in '08 Knowshon and Caleb King are the only RBs on the current roster. We are bringing in Carlton and Dontavious Jackson. Carlton will have plenty of opportunity to play. The last few years we've played three in most games.
Frostproof beat Wildwood 31-6 last night. They play Clearwater Cental Catholic next week in the playoffs. Frostproof already beat CCC 47-7 in the regular season.
altho 2B football is on the smaller end of the spectrum it has housed some major talent, and highly dominant teams (such as pahokee), in reality a florida hs football is pretty darn "good"
Polk County produces some major football talent...from Travis Henry to Ray Lewis to Carlton Thomas to Chris Rainey...even Matt Grothe (QB of the upstart South Florda Bulls) is from Lakeland...the talent keeps comin and comin
he isnt mcfadden, mcfadden is way bigger than him and little faster not quicker, but he is still 5 star talent in my eyes, different type backs though
MIKE HART?! R U JOKING?!? THIS KID IS FRICKIN BARRY SANDERS MAN! UND BABY! 14 yds a carry. that's absurd. this kid is just as good as Devine. 5* player. that's ridiculous.
that is actually true. he was timed at a camp. but 40 times are a bit overrated in my opinion. the kid has amazing moves, and football quickness, and can stop on a dime.
As a Michigan fan, I see a lot of similarities to Mike Hart with slightly more speed. He has good vision, balance, quickness, speed isn't great but it's good enough to get the job done. You can tell he runs anywhere from a low to high 4.5.
Any RB will tell you, its not so much about speed, its about quickness, the reason Joe McKnight will be a WR at USC sooner or later. Noel is more explosive and quick, he is not as good as him right now, but Thomas is right under him. WVU offered Thomas as well, so they must also see the same similarities. Only 1 type of back can fit in that system.
as of now, may 18, 2007, its looking like ND is the leader of the pack for this guy, he really like Weis, and the coaching staff, and just ND as a whole, im a rivals member so i got a lil bit of info on him, wouldnt surprise me if he chose ND before the end of summer
id take him over joe mcknight any day, hes a wr.look at him? r u serious? lol, wow hes honestly just or even more explosive to reggie bush and i dont like 2 make comparisons, but wow, LT'esque
Wow... this kid looks even better than anyone from the last two years. Definitely way better than McGuffie. Hope he goes to Notre Dame, but its probably a long shot.

straight line = faster then Knowshon
stronger than #24. Really, really similar to Thomas Brown. HUUUUGE power totals from what I hear! F-n-A, GOOOO DAWGS!

He reminds me a lot of Darren Sproles.

true, he's really shifty and has the size that thomas brown had (maybe an inch or two shorter) and may be faster.

Except he out-rushed rainey last season in the same county. I'd say he relies more on making people miss than pure speed like rainey.
