  • Nice work gentlemen. Wink.

  • the advertisement joke really wasn't even funny when they did it in Wayne's World (in 1992). i doubt it was even original then.

  • Homer had a beard

  • Thanks for commenting guys! hope you enjoy the video it has sound back! finally! and my english owns all you

  • 'He is only one man, ends in an S! My english is better than yours blaa blaa blaa'

... yeah shame theres no fucking sound...

  • Hay Guys, Thanks for the laugh. I'm currently reading Homer for a seminar and needed a motivational break. I love that picture of the dog at the beginning. What a hoot!

  • So, am I correct in concluding that the only factual liberty taken by these artists is that they attributed too much of the story to Homer?

  • I'm not getting on your case Natalia, I'm just clarificating like my "buddy" George Bush Jr would say! Cheers

  • There's nothing wrong with saying that my English is more than competent. My original criticism of the video related to 'Homer' being the creator of the Iliad and Odyssey; regardless of whether or not 'he' wrote down these stories, they are the product of a long tradition of orally performed poetry and the imagination of others before him. Credit where credit is due!

  • Dude, that was great! well done you guys!! it was funny, well played and it stuck to the story!!! Seriously, well done!!

  • homer wasn't just one dude. no one knows who really wrote the Iliad or the Odyssey. gawd geddit rite!!!

    nice groucho marx helen btw

  • Homer was one "Dude" lady, but the story was probably not his originally yes. He is the first to write it as we know of today, or had it inscribed whatever... lets just learn how to speak English first, ok?

  • I appreciate you taking me up on this matter! There is a severe lack of biographical evidence that 'Homer' was definitely one person; I was taught to think of this name as inclusive of all those who may have been involved. But I assure you that my English is more than competent. Perhaps yours isn't if you honestly thought 'gawd' was a sincere misspelling of 'god', coming from an Ancient Literature enthusiast... More importantly, great vid!

  • Well yes Natalia you are right that it is not exactly for sure that He existed, but trust my Greek insight that he was one man! You see his name ends with an S in Greek which is standard for Greek men, that is why we know Homer was not several people but a single individual, or the ending would be different. Second I thought that you English spawned the language so please dont write like a 14 teen and say your English is more that competent. Actually you meant your Eng is more than sufficient

  • Well they do say their are too many similarities from book to book for it NOT be one author.

  • "lovin it!"

  • my fav part:

    Wack.. wack... argh...

    "Ohhh you're not achilles"

  • hey guys! thanks for the comments, i am happy to say that me and matt are in the process of creating 3 new 5 minute films!! we'll tell you one of them will be "5 Minute Hamlet" more updates soon

  • The Aeneid was not written by Homer, but was written by Virgilius about 700 years. The emperor Julius Augustus told him to write the Aeneid to show that he was somehow related to the Trojans.

  • yep we knew that, homer "of which I wrote 2 of the 3 books, damn you Virgil"

  • Damn, this is pretty funny. Yay for random videos after watching a Simpsons clip.

  • This makes me so happy. Yay for the five minute Iliad! Woo-hoo! - Miss Snyder
