I've seen him with Mark Stutso and the other "Drivers " at Johnny D's in Somerville, Ma many times. He's not been around in years... Met the man, and talked with him As real as the day is long, very gracious, and appreciative of his fans!
the cia did not play hanoi rosie she did it her own self, tryin to mix propadanda with music selrcted to cause homesick blues for the troops, what i meant was someone, cia for example, should have broad cast this performance back at them it would have blown them away to the gobi desert.
And actually his guitar work is so stellar that you can forgive him almost anything! He makes it look so easy and never seems to miss a note. His voice is really secondary to his playing. And he's such a nice guy, unassuming and friendly. Thanks for answering me!!
i saw this guy jam at a barbq compition in 07 in roanoke and all i remembered was this the star spangled banner and roadhouse out of all the bands that day this is great.
Back around this same time-maybe a year or two earlier-I saw him at a short-lived venue in Dallas called Clarence Gatemouth Brown's One Foot In Da Bayou.
Jimmy hendricks great guitar player, jimmy thackery again great guitar player....why are all the excellent guitar players named Jimmy??

@sophiesage. Wenner sang most but Jimmy, Jan and Pete ALL sang lead from time to time. Just saying... This old hawk fan has the vinyl to prove it

jimmy's voice is shot now. wish you could seen him in late 70's and early 80's with the NightHawks.
