I loved WENZ "The End"! I need to see this documentary!

I was there that day during the transition. One of my last duties as a board operator...5 hours of REM's It's the End of the World as we know it. I still feel fine.

WENZ 107.9 The End was the greatest music station...ever? Yeah, I'm comfortable saying that.

That station meant so much to those who followed it and not in an idealized sense. I am so happy someone told this story as one of the last stations to hold out to media consolidation and represent a true independent voice in FM mainstream radio. I will always miss 107.9 The End.

i discovered R.E.M. because of that stunt. and they're still my favorite band to this day!
