for the gay couples who have married since it became LEGAL for gay couples to marry in california, the passage of prop 8 WILL ELIMINATE THAT RIGHT. protect marriage, protect families, protect children, protect the constitution!
And for those that still think this is a "rights" issue, please review CA's Family Code Section 297-297.5...google it, read it, and then realize that this is not about rights, because the rights already exist. If the gay population is having issues with doctor visits, being hired, etc...then sue the company, don't just try to blur the lines of marriage for your community's personal agenda. This is a great point. The No on prop 8 group will probably not admit to it, but talk about being biased. To make it completely fair they should have kept it the way it was worded originally about how this prop adds 14 words to the CA constitution. When I read the ballot, its like reading a No on Prop 8 ad. It's unfortunate that it comes out like that, and not a neutral depiction of this prop. She is right Prop 8 is not a gay rights issue, its about defining marriage.

Same sex marriage is currently a right in the State of California. Proposition 8 seeks to remove that right. It couldn't be more clear. At least have the decency to admit that you wish to exclude a segment of society based on your narrow world view.

therefore by voting YES on 8 you were successfully removing that RIGHT for gays to MARRY
