If you're looking for massive PvP: The game is not up to that yet. 48vs48 is the max. number of players right now. And even with this restriction it's laggy as hell- even on high-end pcs.
WoW was not BUG-FREE.. it had bugs.. and by proportion.. Age of conan is a much much bigger game..almost 6 x bigger.. comparing file size.. This just goes to show that there would be more problems and bugs..
I guess you're right about the dx10.. But assuming they did release it.. and if it had been buggy.. There would be even more complains!.. My best bet.. they are doing the best they can..
Well, maybe they try to make the best out of it now, but as I see the whole thing: It would have been much better to release not too early.
Imho they just didn't want to compete with WotLK and WAR in the same time- frame (fall 08),knowing that the "revolutionary" combat system and massive PvP wasn't all that good as always stated.

Making it prettier still won't make it fun. That was my biggest problem with the game, it just has nothing to make you feel like logging in.

yea, rightoe, IN EUROPE wow had raidinstances... at least one :)
in the states all there was, was black rock

Funcom is a dishonest incompetent company; no better than thieves.
They are on the other-hand, pretty competent (by their standards) in the art of spin.
Give them a wide birth imo.

it's not a trap. the game actually looks like that. But Dx10 is not in yet. lets hope they revamp the climbing and client code to fix stability.

All the stuff should have been in the RELEASE already. They designed AoC with the demand to make a PvP- game. Nuff said.

All MMOs did not release with everything available at launch.. They said there would be DX10.
they did not say it would be there since launch.. Same for WoW.. Raiding and etc came a few months After the launch...
Don't get me wrong.. but if u want full content.. wait until December like all the others and then purchase the game =\

It's a completely other thing if you print it on the back of the box.
Raiding in WoW: Yep, true. BUT: WoW had at least bugfree high level instances.

Therefore they released earlier and now have to complete things that should have been in the release.
This annoyed a lot o people. And the word of mouth is out there in the net: stay away from AoC.
And the saddest thing is: I really had such high hopes that this MMO would be the one to deliver big time.
