first off, the only reason the gamecube didnt have the best graphics last gen was the shaders on the xbox, it more commonly had better looking games than the xbox, and ALWAYS looked better than the ps2, and lazy cash in devs dont get past ps2 level graphics, twat

Please, this is a game. Blood is out of the question. Realism = boring. In these day of good to super power consoles, the less thing they should be investing power, is in realistic looks. Now, developers can add equal to a lot more of original, crazy, unique art looks, as yesterdays NES, SNES, etc. games. If all games would look the same generic realistic fashion, what would be the point in having that much console power and freedom of creativity?

Dude, the visuals look great I don't have a problem with them at all, and I actually think this game is shaping up to be quite good. However the flashing bodies and lack of any viseral damage effects don't say 'old school' to me, they say 'hardware limitations'.

this game looks great, much better than the first. however i only have trouble with two things:

1. the whole desert vibe....it sounds cool that the city isn't LA or tokyo, and the desert vibe had be goin -until it was like an american western cheesiness....i was picturing more of a modern dubai or something

2. why do the badguys blink and fade out when they die? i thought we've gotten away from that

This looks like a MUCH better game than the original! A more interesting art style, a better universe (samurai western style; WAY COOL!), and MUCH better gameplay! (Those finishers kick ass!)

The sword fighting was a big draw in to the original, this just does what the first one should have. And you'll fight ninjas with your katana!
