hey, can the KP3 be used used instead of a keyboard midi controller for the ROLAND JP-8080 or any rackmount/ desktop synth without the use of a computer? or at lease used once at home and stored to a card or something so i don't have to have a computer while performing live concert?
Hey I am looking to add some electronic beats/sounds to my band and I am not great with computer programming/software ect. so i was wondering what are some good(or just one)electronics i could buy to obtain those sounds and bring them into a live environment without having to bring a computer also?I will appreciate any help.
@Xzevanstianx I have both it and the mini. I love them both, but the KP3 does have different effects(some are the same), also the loop creation of the fly, and not to mention you can use it for a midi controller if you are using say ableton live.
Thanks for the comments, I'm just a hobbyist, so if I can do OK beats with a KP3, anyone can.. Not everyone can drink Newkie Brown though, that's a whole other mess.. Proper brilliant though.
@GofretSketches basically, you input whatever sound you want to "manipulate" weather it be samples, a keyboard, your ipod (anything that will go down a wire). You can then manipulate it using loads of different effects like delay, filters, LFOs etc. using the pad. you can also sample sounds that you can either play back on a button press or loop continuously. hope this helped ;)
Kaoss pas and Microkorg are ncie for dubstep, because you have a pad or knob to do real time effects.. If you can find the red Kaoss Pad, spend $100 of ebay/kijiji, and see if you like the functionality. In fact, the KP Mini, has some awesome settings.
The sounds are loops I made on the computer, then uploaded to the KP3 which is a trigger, then the pad can do real-time filters, for the wah wow sounds.
hey man, im new to this stuff...are the sounds that you are making from the software that you have on your computer or are they the sounds already on the Kaossilator pro??? thanks!
Thx for comments, I don't log in much.. Device to the right - Roland SP-404 (old now), but still decent. Rekorderlig and Guinness, definitely tip top. I'm just a hobbyist, but thx!

I have a Kaoss pad mini, is there a huge difference between the mini and the 3? I'm thinking of buying the kp3 but not sure yet.
Nice job!!
