They could have made such a great comeback to the original series.. To me, the remake failed. The first 8 movies were the best, but, their idea for Freddy VS Jason VS Ash could've made such a great comeback. A spin-off trilogy to send the characters off and style. They could've included characters from Elm Street, Evil Dead, and Friday the 13th. Instead they made a remake that might not even get a sequel...

@WarOfSalvation Those versus movies are hollywood knock offs, nothing more - This remake brought the original terror factor back from the 80's, and enlightened today's youth of how a true horror movie is made. :]

@Maximus1Decimus Wouldn't this be a Hollywood knock-off? Anyway, I wouldn't consider this a true horror movie. It was predictable and had too many of today's cliches. The killer surviving at the end, too much nudity and gore, etc. Each of the friday the 13th movies got more cliche-ish after each one was made. I'd say the last one that was the best would be Part 6. No, if you want a good modern day horror film, I'd have to say "Trick 'r Treat". That movie was great.

@WarOfSalvation Actually no it wouldn't, as this ties to the original stories from the 80's, but I see your point none the less - Oh really, what is Trick r Treat about? is that like Black christmas, or i cant recall the name of that movie where it was a horror movie based off of Christmas. Heh, what will they think of next? x]

So then... This is supposed to be a remake of the original Friday the 13th Part III? I was trying to piece it together, but I was always in debate over whether it was supposed to be Part II or Part III. Good to have resolution.

@ShadowBlah2 i hear they're remaking the 10 movies, so it's not specifically remaking each one according to what happened in their storyline, this was part 1, the sequel will be part 2 and so on, its like an entirely different story line, get it?
