  • @xdwere1 well, 30% of all english words comes from french

  • @thcarmine i don't know where you got your facts from but English is a Germanic language and french is a romance language...see what i mean ??? :D

  • @xdwere1 how embarrasing of you to have english as native language and not know this. if you americans would have ever tried learning another language, like french, you would know how alike they are.

  • @thcarmine well actually i took french lessons at my school for some reason :/...but hey french isn't to bad just that i don't like it . i don't know if i should take french again next year though ... if i do i'll be in IB french IB is kinda like AP. maybe you can help me .... :D

  • @xdwere1 sry i'm not french, lol

  • @thcarmine huh...well how ironic ,either way i don't think that im gonna take french again

  • @xdwere1 like your brain....

  • @xdwere1 yanks dont even have their own language, you took it from your english masters and transformed it into a kind of pussy language , for example you pronounce the "r" letter like you had a penis in the throat.

    T'AS COMPRIS ??? PÔV' TACHE !!!!!

  • This is the most perfect standardized french. It's good, because most people will understand you, but realise a lot of francophones from around the word don't speak this "pure" and I use that term liberally.

  • Bon courage pour apprendre ma langue ! Moi j'apprends l'anglais.

  • I'm an asian tried speaking french..what do u think??

    /watch?v=Q2U1nfQAHKg

Mhm , good luck ^^ .

  • at 0:26 surely it should be "Je suis anglaiSe"..sounds like a woman to me!

  • Its easy :)

  • Great! She has a very good pronunciation. (I'm French)

  • at the beginning its informal spoken french for instance the sentence " c'est la maison des du bois?"is grammatically incorrect the correct form is "est-ce la maison des dubois?"the 1st sentence is not supposed to be used as a question but as an affirmative sentence but in a conversation 9 times out of 10 a french person will use the 2nd sentence i think thats what makes french difficult because you have standard french u find in books, the tv news...& french that people actually speak everyday

  • Where I can find the rhymes written out?

  • do you have the audio mp3 that i can download and sync to my ipod :-) ? thankz

  • its so funny to see u say french is a beautiful language lol, makes me proud ^^

  • AAAAANO PARÁ BOLUDO!!!

  • French is remarkably easy if you speak english well. 30% of english is actually french.

  • @theoblues

40% of the english words come from French actually

  • @rafaelmadferit from the norman language in fact. Like aisi --> easy, botèle-->bottle, cat-->cat, char-->car etc etc...

the plantagenet dynasty did the rest

13 american presidents have a plantagenet dynasty roots (Georges Bush, Georges Washington, etc etc....)

  • im in 9th grade nd im learning all this : D haha French is so awesome ( : To me its one of the most beautiful languages ever!

  • All languages are hard in their own way

  • Omg im took japanese and did well and though french would be a piece of cake. i. was. wrong.

  • This British narrator sounds so depressed.

  • It is in my school programme.Easy and uninteresting.I prefer English as the second laungauge.

  • how can i say Comme quoi se sent-il pour être la fille la plus belle dans cette chambre?

  • @JohnTheKiller11

You can't use "il" with "la fille", you have to choose between saying : "il" whith "le garçon", or "elle" whith "la fille"

You should say : "Qu'est-ce-que ça lui fait d'être la plus belle dans cette chambre ?"

There you would mean that the person who answers the girl would like to know how it is for her knowing she's the most beautiful in the room, how she's feeling about it. But it's a strange sentence, even if you put it in English, isn't it ?

  • thanks

  • this video is helpful! and this guy's voice is making me smile ;P

  • @foreignboy221 baha me too =)

  • I'm trying to find a french tutor as I am taking a grade 11 french exam in a couple weeks, anyone know anyone who could help? I was in french immersion so i can speak the language :)

  • @BlackDiamondOPD Hey I can be your french tutor, 102% in French Class, and I'm studying to be a French teacher :)

  • I think that this is a beautiful language, but also is so hard.

  • @Echealess17

I'm French, and my voice doesn't make it ! ^^ that's too funny ! it's kind of singing when they "speak"...=)French is known because it's "flat", we have a language which doesn't really accentuate...

  • This language is so hard

  • @Echealess17 U wrong, its too easy ^^

  • @Echealess17 hard?? try my cock

  • @Echealess17 if u think this language hard, never try and learn irish!! haha

  • @Echealess17 no? I'm 14 and I learned to speak fluently after one year.

  • @Echealess17 but it's so charming

  • @Echealess17 If You Speak English And Spanish Its Much Easier. :)

  • @Echealess17 NOT REALLY BUT THATS BECAUSE I TOOK A FRENCH CLASS IN SCHOOL

  • Thank you. :)

  • In France we love english pronounciation ! It's cute :D

If you want learn french by yourself that will be really difficult. It's a difficult language but an interesting language.

Look, in english you say : "money"

and in french : argent, tune, flouse, monnaie, sous, fric, liquide, pièces...

  • pfffft. In English one can say a huge variety for money: dough, cash, cheddar, bucks, change, green, etc. English speakers are not limited in their colloquial vocabulary. Believe me.

  • thank you...for posting this .

  • This vid was very helpful with my pronunciation. I'm in search of a crash course in pronunciation before going into an immersion program, and just reading and writing only get you so far, right? These videos were just what I was looking for.

  • Love the: "ame stram gramme pique et pique et collegramme, ame stram gramme pique dame!"

Never would have thought to use that when teaching French pronounciation! That's supposed to be from a game, a childish one^^

  • forgot the "bourré bourré ratatam" ^^

  • I am trying to teach my self how to speak fluent french any advise i know a little bit already....... do u have any good advice ?:)

  • become an exchange student in my country! I'm doing that in USA. :D

  • go to france. do not get any english speakers around you. that is the only way to be fluent in any language

  • Odd that there seemed to be a woman using the masculine form of anglais rather than anglais(e)...I It's true she was reading the dialog as Philip West:

    Qui, je suis Philip West

    et

    Qui, je suis anglais(e)...

Having a woman read those lines could be confusing though...

  • Thanks and I see your point -this section works better with the work books that come with the audio.

-we put this sample on to show the stages of our language course -these dialogues will have been played out by male and female voices earlier on.This section is a revue and Pronunciation unit and forms only a small part of the 11 CD course

    -hope this helps explain

  • @2bsirius the woman you are referring to actually sounds like a young boy to me.

  • gosh french is harder than spanish

  • oui, es más difícil.

  • could you tell me why . i learned them both as a child , and therefore i could tell why one is harder

  • excellent!! thanks to whoever put this on!

  • please write the last part. it sounds like a twister .. I know will help me witn my pronunciation... but I think will better if I see the work after hearing many times.

    thanks,, a good material.

  • I will add some more Accelerated Learning soon to this site,

I am pleased that it helps, thanks for your comment
