Actually, it isn't the White House, it is the U.S. Capitol. The president is always sworn in at the US Capitol.

It's okay--it is easy to forget about it. I think all of us had post-inaugural fatigue too. I'm still grateful that it was President Obama being sworn in and not McCain! :-)
