I love Serafine Pekkala so much! I always love that kind of strong and kind woman, I look up to them, both in the real world and in movies, series etc. That kind of characters are mostly one of my favorites. As well in The Golden Compass^^ Esspecially in the books :D

That 'Pekkala' is a finnish surname. And her daemon Kaisa has a finnish name too. But... that's a girl's name. I had fun when I watched this part. (because I'm finnish..)

nop,she has blond hair but she has died it in black since she was a teen..because as a blonde, she felt very organized and as a brunette, she was more like herself. Eva had the impression it expressed her violence better. ;'D

i think she's more fair than blonde. she was probably blonde as a kid but it darkened. she has light brown hair in her first movie the dreamers
